  1. The tire pressure warning light is always on in my 2004 SC430 with run flats. The pressure in all my tires is the same, checked it multiple times. The pressure in the tires have also not changed for 2 days, so don't think there is a flat. The light stays on with no audible alarm or flashing. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

P.S: New owner and saw the same issue on a different SC430 I test drove.

UZI - I've searched for the Sticky you refer to and have been unable to find it. Can you post a link?

  2. I recetnly replaced the Wheels on my 05 but I had the same tires put right back on. It was done by a local Goodyear dealer. I specifically requested that they write down the "serial numbers/identification umbers for the TPMS sensors which they did. That way you have the numbers for use later w/o unmounting the tire. I also made sure that they put the sensors back on EXACTLy the same position on the car (i.e. RF on rgiht Front, LF on left front, etc.). In doing so, I hae not had any issues wiht the TPMS light coming on. I suspect that when the tires/wheels were put back on the car, the changed [position of the wheels and the TPMS sensors are no longer communicating to the ECU in the right "sequence" or with the right receiver. I'm not sure but I think the Lexus has twor receviers (one mounted forward for the front two wheels and one mounted in the rear for the back two.

Maybe someone else ont he Forum can confimr the two receiveers but I know for a fact that the sensors must go back in the ame places or they have to be "re-registered" (which is why the serial number is so important.

  3. Hey, if you all ready have a master key you can program up to 3 more keys. but its a two step process. first you have to program your key fob to lock and unlock your doors/truck. then you have to program the chip in the key to start your engine. Yes, you really can do this yourself. The following link is the very best fully detailed site i'll found to date for all lexus/toyota key/fob programing and best of all is 100% FREE :D

I'am not sure how to post this link but here it is. just copy and paste to you address bar then ad it to your favs: www.toy-lex.com/programming

Anybody have any success in programming the transponder and remote for a '05 SC430?

Does anybody know how many "keys" and remotes the system will accept?

I've tried all the programming guides I can find (including the ones referenced in this thread) with no success.

The closest I've found is the Tech Svc Bult EL005-01 (for the '01 and '02) whcih does appear to put the '05 into "ADD" mode for the remote but it will not "accept" the remote.

I fianlly got one more key programmed and the remote working. The instructions on EL005-01 are correct BUT in my case I had to program the Wireless Remote BEFORE I could program the transponder in the Key. I used the key programming instructions from www.lexuskeys.com (Key Program 2) and that worked the first time but only AFTER I had the wireless remote working. Still not sure how many keys can be registered but at least I have two Master Keys now.

I have one more I will try to register after I get it cut.
