  1. i know that this is a popular mod for jzx100 chasers in japan but im not sure that it can be done with the sc. its possible though.
  2. i think it can go either way. the air control valve varies steering effort dependant on engine speed.

  4. there is a climate control unit that is know to go out. im not sure if it causes the lcd to not show. as far as i remember it made my heat on max cold or super hot!
  5. this happened to my LS but the heater valve started to leak. its a plastic piece thats mounted on the firewall i believe, but im not sure if the SC also has it... need to check on that. you need to check if you have coolant.

  7. your owner's manual should state wich oil you need to use but if your in very cold weather such as winter in detroit, you may want to switch to a 5w20 or 30 or even a 0w20 if it gets really hot in the summer then you should change to a thicker oil but most cases 5w30 10w30 is good
  8. its comes with an unlimited slipperential! you can swap in a supra tt torsen but i believe there is modification involved.
  9. wow thats funny i did my filter on monday too! i was prepared though cuz i did it before on my LS. had a big box full of rags to absorb the falling oil. and well i did have access to a lift so it wasnt that bad for me...
  10. i dont think the gte plenum is able to fit. they do sell a gte style plenum for the ge engine but i dont know who sells it, i have only seen it on pictures.
  11. mobil and factory filters are great! but 22,000 miles to your first oil change damn! haha! i change my oil every 3000
  12. the jdm soarer 1uz's are kinda rare most of them were 1j's anyway the jdm motor might not have egr which would probably fail you for emmissions.
  13. unfortunately the US models didnt comewith the digital dash so you might not find much help here. but being that it sometimes works, it may be a bad ground somewhere that you need to trace.
  14. im sure it could but lots of wiring would be needed and also the trans computer would probably need a changing. so in short, it would probably be cheaper to buy a 98
  15. change your trans filter and all problems will dissappear. and if it happens again, change it again becasue some loose clutch material is cloggin the filter causing it to starve. i did this and it was perfect!
  16. flawless! silky smooth and great! of course my friend did it and he is a great mechanic but that is normal price for a tranny rebuild from him.

  18. or dont turn off your ac!!!! haha! oh BTW if that ever happens again even after the TB cleaning just put the shifter in to Neutral and then you can start your car again!
  19. daizen and another company makes replacement bushings. daizen makes urethane and the other makes oem kinda rubber bushings. do a search and you will find it. also if your ball joint on the arm is worn its worth just changing the whole arm.

  22. its kinda hard to tell when a shock is dead unless its completely blown in which case after you hit a bump your car will keep on bouncing for like 10 years but unless you can actually take the shock out and feel by hand its a little hard to tell. but at 145k miles original shocks would be dead! in dont recomend coilovers if you want a smooth ride unless you get some TEIN CS coilovers which is basicly a bit stiffer than stock but with height adjustability and dampening adjustability.

  24. try check the solenoid screen. might be clogged
