  1. I lost the only key I had. the locks had been previously rekeyed. I pulled the locks from the doors as well as the trunk and they are missing tabs for the lock smith to completely remake another key. The key he did make me fits all the locks now, but not the ignition cylinder. I've already pulled apart the dash, and I've isolated the cylinder. But now I can't figure out what bolts I need to remove in order to pull it out. Here is a pic of the lock cylinder here is a pic of the lock cylnder connecting to the steering column. The steering column is on the left side of the pic. The bottom of the pic is the back of the lock cylnder. here is a close up of the bar (at the tip of the arrows) that connects to the steering column. Steering column on the left, and lock cylnder on the right. So how do I remove the cylinder? Is there any other precautions I should take? thanks
  2. Do what I did. Buy a really fast bike to satisfy your speed needs.
  3. why not just pick up a double din unit? The price difference is minimal. The other option is to build one yourself. I put a nav screen in my runner. Basically cut out a piece of wood which encases the screen and then wrap it in vinyl. then jus push it into place. Make sure it has a snug fit and it won't go anywhere. If you can't build it yourself, take it to a local tweeter or custom stereo place and they can make on for you. But honestly, I'd eather look into a factory replacement stereo off of Ebay or a double din one that will fit.
  4. I have 360 degree pics of the car. I dont see any damage to the body. The car is still sitting at the auction block, I'm waiting for the insurance company to release the title, then I'll drive up to philly and pick it up (hopefully Friday this week). At insurance auctions they don't tell you anything about the car. They dont even release the entire vin number, so you can't even run a carfax on it. Which is why my bid price was so low, I was actually surprized I got it.
  5. Evening, I just purchased a 1992 SC400 with 120k miles from an insurance auction. It comes with a theft recovery salvage title. But the best part is I only paid $2500 for it. I should be picking it up (hopefully) at the end of this week. So I'll be doing a full maintenance sweep of the car and hope to enjoy it for a good many years to come.
