  1. yeah, you need to get that fuzzy panel off. you can use a panel popper. i just use my finger and pry it off.
  2. hey nice work! i had plans to do the same last summer. unfortunately my car was vandalized. hoping to try to get that project done before this summer. the shops around here are charging anywhere from 800-1200 to do the deck
  3. this mught be a lil off topic but has anybody actually tried taking off the plastic cover? I'm a lil hesitant because I dont want to break anything
  4. you sure its not the bulbs? i had a similar problem with my taillights. when i turned my lights on the left taillight wouldn't work. but when i stepped on the brake, both worked. i just changed the bulbs and it fixed everything. and if its not the bulbs or the fuse then it just might be the wires
  5. i think i might have some extra ones.... the stock ones worked fine with my clear corners though. lemme know
  6. You also might check out Make magazine - a mag that helps people modify things in non-conventional ways. The current issue has an iPod integration in it, I think, and I know they have some electronic car mods in it. http://www.makezine.com. ← I found iCarPlay Wireless FM to be the best solution so far. This will charge the ipod and has a FM transmitter. ← the downside is wireless FM has really bad sound quality. and its pretty annoying trying to change the frequency in a city where the airwaves are congested.
  7. It IS possible. Check out cardomain.com and browse the RX300 owners. True, those AC controls are vital, but they can be relocated.
  8. have you tried checking out the cars on cardomain.com?
  9. looks cool. how are they attached? adhesive sticker? those would look nice in carbon fiber since I was planning on gettin a carbon fiber hood. btw how much?
  10. Did you ever end up getting this done? I'm in the same position. ← I'm about to gwet this done by the end of the week. i was give a quote of $800-1000 for labor and parts and will take approx. 4 days. I will post pics when done.
  11. what shop did you get your work done at?
  12. Did you ever end up getting this done? I'm in the same position.
  13. Im in desperate need of help for this. I have a 2000 Rx300 with the pioneer system, no nav. I've been searching online for months trying to figure out how to change the factory deck with an aftermarket one. As far as I know I cant because the factory deck also controls the climate. Ive tried a handful of "car audio specialists" but none would consider doing any custom installations or find a kit for one. Has anybody succeeded in changing their deck? Any suggestions to where I can mount one? Is it even possible to add another deck and still have the stock one functional too? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
