  1. I left mine for 5 weeks at airpot garage. Car started with no problem when we returned.
  2. After 2 years of trial and error, Lexus solved the problem; the evaporator was disintegrating and had to be replaced.
  3. Pictures posted with white particles look the same as I have had on the dash. they come out through the defrost vent, Lexus a factory tech rep look at it on Tuesday. He said he had not heard of anyone else having this problem. He offered to take the dash apart to locate the problem. Instead, I had them to remove the cabin filter, clean the vents out and let me drive the car without a filter and see if that is the problem. I am reluctant to let them to do surgery on this problem as it will generate more headaches. I got the car back today and will post results. This is the only problem other than having to get rid of the Goodyear tires after about 2 months as they were not smooth. They replaced the tires with Michelin and after 2 years they are still running smooth. The loaner RX 350's don't handle or ride as well. Jim
  4. Hi, Did you ever find the source of this? I noticed it in my vehicle last night. White particles over the dash/console etc... The windows are always up at this point given the weather in New England is still cold. So I don't think it came from an external source. Jim
  5. Jim. My windows are also up all of the time and the particles come out through the defrost vent. They thought it was a filter disintegrating. They have changed out the filter with a paper filter, cleaned the ducts but have not resolved the problem. The weather has warmed up here and the defrost is not coming on and there are no particles unless I manually turn on defrost. I will let you know when resloved. Jim

  7. Has anyone had the problem with White Flecks coming out of defrost vent onto RXh400 dash? Lexus has changed the cabin air filter and cleaned the vents but the problem is still there.
  8. There are white particles that get on dash. They seem to be comming from the defrost vent. Lexus changed filter behind glove box to paper type as they believed the other type was deteriorating. This has not resolved the problem. A/C, heat usually runs on re-circulate. Has anyone experienced this problem? Thanks
  9. I have a car hauler that weighs 1300 pounds with a protective shield on the front. I towed it 550 miles and my mileage dropped 9 miles per gallon at speeds of 60-65 mph. Wind resistance seems to be the culprit.
  10. I left my RX 400h at in the airport parking lot for 33 days and thought all batteries may be discharged. I opened the door, turned the key in the ignition and it started right up and the indicator showed the hybrid battery was fully charged. MY thought: there is something else discharging the aux battery
  11. I had the update done at Lexus in Knoxville, TN. There is no longer any vibration and the mileage is a little better in the city.
  12. GOOD NEWS: After Engineering change was installet, There is no longer a vibration when holding at a steady speed between 35-45 mph. BAD NEWS: Now when I reach the spead between 20 and 40 mph, let the power monitor go to zero, the engine keeps running and the electric motors are not running. Before on level road the electric motors would be the power source with the engine engaged if neeeded. It is too early to tell what effect this is going to have on my fuel mileage. Prior to this change, I was averaging 27.2 mpg.
  13. Has anyone installed the ECU update for 400h to determine if the battery or engine should be engaged for power at 40 MPH? (FP number 89981-48030) If so, did it fix the vibration problem at 40 MPH? Was there any affect on the gas mileage? Thanks for replies.
  14. I have a vibration when driving at a steady speed between 40 to 45 MPH. It has gotten worse over time. After a Lexus technician drove it, he said the computer could not decide between running on electric or gas. He was told there was a software fix that was in test and should be available for upgrade soon to take care of this problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem and has it been resloved?
  15. The RX 400h's AWD is not like the RX 330. It is not noisy because there is no drive shaft to the rear axle. The rear wheels are driven by an electric motor.
