  1. What bluetooth issues did yo uhave? I am having some of my own in my 07 RX400h.
  2. Hi All, Just bought a '07 400h. Love the car thus far. A few questions though. 1.) I know the '06 RX had a recall (or just a recurring problem) between 35-40mph where it would stutter and vibrate. I noticed something similar, however when passing 40mph in my '07. I think it may be normal however, but here goes. When I pass 40mph (usually accelerating onto a highway or in traffic), and if the dashboard shows both battery and engine power (not sure of the technical terms for it) the car makes a loud revving noise. It doesn't vibrate, however the noise is noticeable. Is this normal (an aspect of CVT or the hybrid system perhaps) or indicative of a larger problem. I am somewhat of a perfectionist so while others may not notice it, I would. 2.) My Bluetooth connection drops constantly. I have a V3 razr and the in-dash system I have is Gen5 with 6.1 software in it. Often in a call the display will say "call terminated by network" but I can continue it on my phone. This often happens when I begin to loose network coverage. However it has happened in other places. 3.) I get wildly varying gas mileage. At first it was 20mpg, now with 90% city driving and often less than 2 mile trips (Boston driving) it drops from 12.8 to 17.3 mpg. I think this is probably normal and is indicitive of my driving style (rev the engine to pass other cars) and plenty of sitting in a car while not moving. Perhaps I should allow the battery to drive the car more? Lastly I love this car, how are others loving the '07s?
  3. Hi All, I am not the type to normally get excited over cars. And anyone who knows me will certainly attest I am not a "tree-hugger" but I just broke down and purchased the '07 RX Hybrid. I couldn't be happier. I take delivery next week (I bought it in MA, but live in NY so it needs to get registered). I can confirm that there ARE changes in the car. The 5th gen nav is in (and lets you dial numbers while driving - by speaking the number as in Chrysler's UConnect). BLuetooth has been retooled to allow more phones to be compatibe (especially crippled Verizon phones!) The wood trim between my friend's early model RX ('06 I think?) and mine has changed. It looks much more "lexusy" (for lack of a better adjective). Basically all the ones being sold here in MA are the same build (AWD, NAV, Premium Plus). Custom options seem to be the ML and Rear Seat System. SAT radio WAS NOT included. XM was an option but Sirius was off the table for now (a bummer for me as I have a Sirius lifetime subscription) Pushbutton ignotion is NOT an option, but is much more of a gimmick for me. I have experienved many a valet who had no idea what do do with mine in my SL500. Overall this car seems the ideal replacement for my '05 Grand Cherokee. I previously owned a LX450 (rarely driven) and now own a Land Cruiser for our "big hauls" (family of 6) but I think everyone in the house will fight over friving the RX now! Sales experience was A+! MUCH easier than dealing with BMW, Mercedes, or other lux marquees. Was able to get it below MSRP as it was the end of the month and hadn't actually expected them to find a car for me until the end of Oct. They hired an outside agency to get my plates, regs, inspections, etc in NYS as MA has a hairbrained DMV. Overall if things go well, I am going to reccomend that our company replace our fleet cars for executives from Jags and Benzes to the LS400h L. I saw pictures of it and it looks to be VERY impressive!
  4. Hi All I'm just about ready to try this in my new 05 Land Cruiser... I have a few questions if any of you would not mind. 1.) Do I have to disconnect my battery to get this to work? 2.) Does the NAV system still work fine after this procedure? 3.) Besides a bottle opener, tape, and scissors if there anything else I need to do this... And if you were wondering. I am NOT doing this for DVD video, but for the bluetooth dto not be crippled and to let me dial calls as i can in my sl500 (I assure you, a MUCH! more dangerous operation due to the cryptic german buttons) or even in my 05 Grand Cherokee!
  5. Planning on stopping in Rallye Myself. Have bought 2 MB from them in the past and think they have an excellent dealership. Have a '97 LC right now which died on me this morning. I know the 2006 models are out. Since I was looking for all the options on the LC it appears that the LX470 is just as expensive. What kind of deal will get if I try to get a 2005 vs. a 2006 off sticker. I'd pay cash, as I know Rallye is not fond of giving deals when applying for any sort of lease.
