  1. Hi, my ex wife had an RX300, got new mats, now I have an extra. Could anyone use it?
  2. How long do you leave the engine flush in there?
  3. My 2000 rx300 is due for 60,000 service. i know that all fluids are scheduled for changing at this service, is there any other service included in this maintenance procedure, such as timing belt replacement, etc.? Is there an official listing of steps taken during this service? I have applied for a supplemental owners manual be sent to me but it hasnt arrived yet. Thanks folks. Tom
  4. Bowtie, while trying to diagnose a problem i was having with the fuel delivery system i came upon this little gem of a post. Turns out this might be the best modification i have ever performed on any of my cars. i will be looking into the possibility of performing the same procedure on my other car this weekend. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/knowledge..._v2&id=152&c=11 in our Rx 300 I too had knocking and pinging during start up of the vehicle, when it was somewhat cold, and usually for the first 15 minutes of driving, then on the highway it kinda disappeared. my problems all started with a check engine light with a dtc code of 01707, i think, which is lean in bank one. something like that. ok, so after i performed the procedure, using carb cleaner spray [dont use brake cleaner] and one Qtip to remove the solid buildup from the sensor wire shown in the diy, the check engine light has not returned. an unexpected result was that the pinging has gone away. my recommendation is that you try this procedure and see how it treats you. its easy and free. it took me about 20 minutes from start to finish. good luck!!
  5. this is true, although, i stripped the threads on my rotor using this method. the rotors were so rusted that the bolt ripped the threads right out after a few half turns, so i had to resort to the pounding of the hammer.
  6. on my rx300 i just banged them off with a soft hammer. they were rusted so there was some resistance that i had to break through. keep on it, just dont hit it too hard, sometimes placing a piece of wood on rotor then hitting the wood with a hammer can protect it. good luck. also, make sure there is not a small screw holding the disk in place. also, use some wd-40 to loosen the grip of rust. not too much now. Tom
  7. Never rest your lunch on the hood of your Lexus! :o :P
  8. Send me an email at fishingrod45<{a}>Hotmaildotcom I can't PM for some reason. Thanks. Tom.
  9. Tom:I actually have a bumper protector for that exact car!! I purchased it for my 2000 RX-300 and never put it on!! Since then I sold the car and now drive an RX-330 so the bumper protector just sits in my garage!! I forget what I paid for the thing now. Something like $75.00. We can figure out a price and I could have it out to you pretty fast. Would you be interested? Let me know and we'll figure something out. I just saw where Carson Toyota has this part and sells it for $80.00 You'll have to dig into this site to find it: http://carsontoyota.com/html/parts.html Let me know, Steve ← Steve, I am interested. Send me a PM, or just reply to fishingrod45<{a}>Hootmaildotcom Tom
