I had the belt replaced in my 2008 Rx400h at 100000 miles. I asked for the part back and the belt was hardly worn. I inspected it with a magnified glass and found nothing.

Its a safety feature. I don't think you can change it. Just curious how many miles on your RX? What's your average MPG?

I have a 2008 RX 400h. I been using 93 octane fuel since I bought it used at 50 K miles like the owner manual state should be used. I average 24.5 MPG. Today I put in 89 octane Shell gasoline. My wife was upset with me but I am tired of paying for premium 93 octane. I know one tank is not going to hurt anything. What are you all using and what's your experience? Thank you.

Sounds good, I will check it out.

Are you the original owner?
Our RX400h engine uses no oil. It's oil was also changed every 4500-5000 miles with synthetic oil.
Yes, I am. I switched to a 5-20W semi synthetic oil and uses a little less oil. How many miles are on your car? What kind of mileage are you getting? I am about 26 MPG average city/highway. I wonder how long our batteries will last?

My 2008 RX400h with 136,000 miles uses a quart of oil at about 1500 miles. No leaking is occurring and I do not see any smoke from exhaust pipe. The oil was changed every 5,000 miles since new. Anyone else have this issue? Car runs and drives great.
2007 RX400H replace Timing Belt every 108 months?
