The ABS DC motor brushes have worn down and so it can't build up any pressure. A wheel bearing was also bad and throwing an ABS code. The thing is I still feel like my brakes are not working properly even if those other issues are addressed. Generally I get about 30mpgs but it has dropped to 20's.

Replaced a bad wheel bearing with a new one and it went bad within a couple of days. Replaced it again and still having minor noises and grinding. The wheel bearing should not be this sensitive.

Hi guys my ABS system has broke down and the small motor can no longer develop pressure. Whenever I drive now the brakes are catching the rotors making me lose 10mpgs. I want to disable the thing entire and go without ABS. Thing is, I don't know which fuse disables it precisely. There seems to be 4 fuses that says ABS in the engine bay fuse box.

There could be a lot of potential problems with this car. 1. The engine may be worn out with that mileage. This means you'll start burning oil. But this could depend on how often the oil changes were done. 2. Suspension parts arn't that bad or expensive to replace. AIR suspension however could be very costly. 3. Gasket leaks. If the PCV valve wasn't changed often, this could cause oil leaks in the valve cover gasket. To change this gasket is alot of work. If I purchase that car, the decision would be based on an good price, immaculate body and interior condition. The engine and the suspension parts can all be swapped out and you'll have a reliable vehicle. Purchasing a car with that mileage and that year means you'll have to have a decent level of mechanic competency, otherwise it could get very costly.

The belts and timing system are not as forgiving as installing a spark plug. You have to be more accurate. I would get the repair manual but those things can be hard to read at times. Watching Youtube videos on how they change the belts should help alot.

Most cars will have a shift lag when going into gear if you press acceleration at the right time. But yours sound more severe. If its a second hand vehicle, the previous owner might of had a lead foot, which could've destroyed the transmission. There's a couple things I would do. 1. Take it to Lexus to see what they say. 2015 is still fairly new for a car. 2. Take it to an auto shop to have them diagnose the problem. 3. If its a bad transmission, just replace it. This adds value to the vehicle. 4. Continue to drive it until it(the tranny) gives out. Then you will know the issue for sure.
