yes i can confirm as well because i was just at the auto wrecker a few weeks back scrounging and found a wood trimmed door panel that was damaged and the wood veneer on it was splintered in two.

what will it take to upgrade to a new rx350?

the rx330 was first introduced in 2004. the rx300 was around for something like 6 years so i doubt there will be a redesign anytime soon.

i thought the sludge problem was recitifed on the rx330 with a redesign of the oil passages in the head?

same with the awd transmission... something was done about the differential. the 2wd versions of the rx300 never had issues did it?

There has been a fix out for months. Replacing the fuel line from the fuel rail to the metal fuel line. TSIB EG005-05

wow i'm completely unaware of this... ours has been ticking since day 1 and i just took it for granted after being told it was the injectors.

but a question: why would a fuel line cause this noise?

when we bought our 00 rx300 used from the dealer, the oem duelers were bald, and they replaced them with michelin x-trails, and they have served us well!

they charge $15per to mount and balance each tire where i am.

i assume it's injectors as well. if you think yours is loud... you should listen to a gs400. when i first heard mine i thought i was losing the valves... but i've since gotten used to it.

just curious but did you get to see your original timing belt? when i had mine replaced i had the chance to put it next to a brand new one and the old one had actually stretched, so it was slightly longer. i wonder if that affected timing, causing the idle problem?

how bad are the winters in nova scotia? i'm on the westcoast so 1-2 inches of snow is considered bad to me... for all i know you could have 5-6 ft snowdrifts :o

without the autolevelers, how do u adjust the lights?

the seller said that the headlights were "complete", including ballasts, bulbs, and igniters. but... there was no mention of wiring :(

i just bought a set of used 01 hid headlights on ebay for $750usd.

i found a small tear in the seatback on our rx300 :(

can someone recommend a DIY repair product, or is there another option?

is it possible to retrofit the complete HID headlight assemblies from a 01-up rx300 into a 2000 model that had non-HID lights?

according to what i'm being told by others and what i could find on the tirerack.com website the rx300 18" sizing is 255/15/18... will that be trouble?

i've been digging... rx330 18" oem fitment was 235/55r18 ? why is it narrower? what kind of acceleration/odometer issues will i run into?

don't really want to deal with aftermarket rims anymore... i used to have another set on a different car and always had to deal with theft :(

well, when i emailed WAAG they told me that it has no effect on airbag deployment because the sensors are accelerometer-based (ie. sudden deceleration caused by collision, etc.), and does not function via impact.

the argument that was posed to me by a colleague was that at front guard would cause greater damage to a unibody vehicle such as the rx300, unlike one with a ladder frame construction, such as the ML320, etc.

thinking about doing 18" rx330 oem wheel/tire setup on our 00 rx300... will the rx330 sizing work?
