In light of the recent air bag issues, perhaps your location might help.

At this point, I would disconnect the bulbs and test for voltage with a VOM.

Spray some WD40 in there and see if it stops.

Unable To Disarm Alarm And Enter Car...help
VBdenny replied to Ericlexus's topic in 90 - 00 Lexus LS400
Wasn't aware of that. I'll stop by a lock shop tomorrow and see if I can get some. Probably good PM as well. -
Oh yeah. Forgot to mention this important point. Which ever you get, you will be thrilled.

I of course would certainly pick the V8 powered LS over the 6er GS. When considering suspension, some (not all) came with air suspension which is a wonderful feature on new cars and a terrible feature on older cars. I imagine then GS drives fairly like the ES cars. Yeah, they are nice and they are comfortable but having a 4 cam, V8 is something everybody should experience at some point. The LS cars do have PS issues but not super expensive. My ES330 has run flawlessly for 100k miles. Tune up, timing belt, water pump, brakes etc done. Just put the winter tires on the ES330 the other day since my daughter is using the car in DC area.

The high beam indicator is green?

I always have mixed emotions when selling a vehicle. On one hand, having the extra space and not having the related expenses is a positive but on the negative, I often miss the cars. I would seriously like to have a large climate controlled storage facility where I had every vehicle I have ever owned. Good choice keeping the white car. Black cars are just to hot in the southland.

Unable To Disarm Alarm And Enter Car...help
VBdenny replied to Ericlexus's topic in 90 - 00 Lexus LS400
Good advise. Who would ever think to try a key instead of the remote. Not sure why the remote would open the door and not the key but hey. I need some of that graphite lock lubricant. -
When I bought my last car, the second (back up) sales closer asks me about the extended warranty for some ridiculous amount. I looked at him with a blank look and said, if you wanted to sell warranties, perhaps you should sell Fords. Offered him a reasonable $300 and he turned me down. When you have friends that are BMW mechanics and they drive a Toyota, kind of tells you something.

If you unlock the door with the key and put it in the in ignition, it should turn off. -
Sounds like a great move Paul Thanks for the attention to details.

Didn't know that, ha. What next.

And yeah, that little Benz has a cute logo on the front

I acquired my first Lexus in 2001 from a friend of mine who bought it new in 1989. Being the first Toyota product for me, I had no Idea exactly what to expect. Let me just say that my expectations were so far exceeded, I never considered the others. Getting new members falls back on current members. I have recommended LOC to many people I have met that own a Lexus vehicle. Regarding the discussion. Some of us continuously seek interesting content. Whenever I can learn something in a thread, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

My first Lexus was a 1990 LS400. Perhaps my favorite car ever. From what I remember, when Toyota first set out to develop a luxury line, peopl were very skeptical. The initial LS400 was designed using the exterior styling from Mercedes, engine, drive and performance from BMW, and interior styling from Jaguar. Thinking back to what I heard, toyota decided to sell the first line at somewhat of a loss. The 4 cam, 32 valve V-8 in the LS was (and still is) an amazing engine. Sold the car to a friend and it is still perfect. The ES330 I have was never as nice a car for handling, ride or performance but still a very nice car. The new IS is a pretty sweet car which handles much better than any car I have ever owned with the possible exception of the mazda Miata I had. I did not opt for the 350 mainly because my right foot gets twitchy and that can cause blue lights.

Stephen, may I say that I very much enjoyed your perspective on Lexus vs others. Not too bad when you can learn new things. I have noticed that while I see bundles of BMWs and MBs, I rarely if ever see another IS. Nothing wrong with that. Denny

31 might not quite be enough. Having dealt with various TPS issues, I can say that the Lexus dealership set mine at 38 psi. The guy kind of alluded to the fact that around where your pressure is might trigger the sensor, more so in cold weather. Checking my sensors I saw today my tires were all at 38psi.

My mom bought a new Civic EXL last summer and I have driven it a few times. Very nice cars for the price.

Selling cars is something I usually find difficult. Not sure how or why people become emotionally attached to a vehicle but it happens. Good luck with the step down to one car, I know it is not an easy choice.

In Boston the other day I paid $2.97. Near Syracuse, I paid $3.62 but that was for non-alcohol premium. Eastern shore gasoline was around $2.77

Sorry to hear about that. Had that happen myself in a Chevy I had. Thanks for mentioning what happened as it is something I hadn't given much thought. I will now be thinking about this when I park.

Okay, just tell me where the picture button is below. I see other icons but not a direct upload.

And as far as the number of posts earning some type of respect? Never heard of such a rule. Respect is based on knowledge, not an accumulation of posts. Posts show dedication to Lexus which is something we all share. Say some smart stuff, cha-Ching, respect.
