  1. I hate when it does that sorry
  2. of course because i need to buy one now
  3. All that black just looks bad to the bone. A nasty looking asphalt animal if you ask me.
  4. I also recommend you do not disable the bulb. Not probably something you want to do because many things involved. Just broke a bunch of plastic things on my truck.
  5. Now yousee that it is true. You really do learn something new everyday. I'm I thought only Toyota could reprogram the TPS. Not sure if your reader will reset 2014 and on?
  6. Hey Bob. My wife being from Bklyn I remember many snow storms in the area. Of course she just went back to the south shore of Boston where 3 feet or more is expected. Just got back from there to sunny VB. Demny
  7. On my wife's RAV4 there is a TPS reset switch under the steering wheel somewhere. Of course without the sensors I doubt Toyota will touch it due to safety regulation. Wave of the future I'm afraid
  8. Pretty nice having a press handy should save you quite a bit. Saw NYC & NE are getting it good.
  9. Well you steel headed warrior, got that all exactly right. Ahh we do miss them and the worst part is my neighbor owns it so I see it all the time. I do make him wash it and bring it over for oil changes and checkups. Still miss that car. Yes new cars are nice but the drivability of that 1990 V-8 car was the best. The struts are generally replaced as a unit. Amazing differences in handling.
  10. I do think that the BMW X5 & X6 are pretty bad looking cars with the fatty tires they put on them. Acura MDX also looks good. As a rule, I stay away from any Chrysler products.
  11. Looks to me like the NX is a Lexus RAV4. The RX will probably be Highlandet sized. Yes, Lexus needs the distinction. I'll try not to let my wife see the NX for as long as I can.
  12. Replaced the struts ( torsion bars) when I bought my LS400 with 112000. Car handled terrible then perfect. Tie rods should last excessively longer.
  13. Sounds beautiful. I do love California just wish it wasn't so far away. My daughter lived in SD for a year and friends in Coronado. Been to Santa Barbara several times. Did the PCH and 101 a few times (but not quite enough) which can't be beat. When all is said and done, I'm an east coast boy. Maine to Florida, im good. I really like driving my car.
  14. 42F and rein at Beach. Ahhh. Perfectly fine I guess
  15. IF. I didn't have a truck I woild also rent s vehicle for salty excursions. Virginia Beach can be nice during winter but it can also be nasty. IS250 stays inside.
  16. Seriously the technicians at the Lexus dealership can't sit their butts down in your car and see if the heaters work?
  17. Forgot to enable embedding. Should work now.
  18. ahhh.. I know why let me fix that.
  19. Luckily, my Silverado with the snow tires is not "pretty' and kind of looks like a beast with the Winterforce tires. Truck is pretty salted up and dirty from 1800 miles of highway. I would never consider driving my car in this stuff.
  20. The Cornhole Lobby won a big round when they ever allowed alcohol to ruin perfectly good gasoline. By diverting corn from agriculture to fuels, a bunch of wealthy agri-businesses scored a huge coup. Yes, we were taken to the cleaners but common sense is back and it is time to get the alcohol OUT of our gasoline.
  21. This is in General Chat because it has nothing to do with vehicles other than those guided by gravity. Took a ride way up into the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Strapped on my Rossignols and checked out Wildcat Mountain. Gotta love NH as it is a different world in the icy mountains. Here is a link to a ski run I made with my Go Pro Hope this works.
  22. Perhaps the brand of gasoline is even more important. Always look for fuels labeled as TOP TIER. If I am not mistaken, E-85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. I am ashamed they even make the stuff as alcohol is useful as a fuel only when you run out of gasoline. Causes corrosive activities in your engine components, cause terrible fuel economy and costs about $3.00 a gallon to make. I will stand with my previous position in that alcohol belongs in people, not in engines. I did notice several places in New York are now selling 100% Gasoline with NO alcohol. Filled up the truck and gained about 3 mpg. Of course it costs $$$$$$ but...
  23. Photo (hopefully)
  24. Sometimes if the seat fans are also on, the seats won't seem to feel as warm. Not sure I've used the seat warmers except to test them. The fan ventilation system is much more important to me than heated seats. I will admit they do not heat up as fast, nor seem to get as hot as those in my wife's 13 RAV4 .
