  1. It would be helpful if someone could share a similar experience with a 2020 NX. I too was surprised that Lexus chose to ignore the millions of Android users in 2020. Their solution is a program called Scout by Telenav. But judging from online reviews, including those on Lexus' own website under the "ideas" tab, everybody on the planet including Lexus themselves knew the Scout program is garbage. That Lexus chose to accept money for this product knowing full well it didn't work well if at all borders on fraud IMO. I agree that Samsung phones are equal if not better than Apple phones. I had a tech specialist come into my dealership to personally observe my problems with the app. They said they tested the app in the dealership with a new Galaxy model and it worked fine, and suggested I upgrade my S8 to a Samsung Galaxy S21. It worked for about a week, then quit. As I said, I am going to the dealership this week at the suggestion of Lexus Customer Relations and pitch a royal one.
  2. OK, I installed Android Auto on phone. Paired with car. Able to open Google assistant with it on phone, but nothing on car screen. How is that accomplished? Thanks in advance.
  3. Never heard of Android Auto before. Will definitly give it a try. Can you please give a brief summary how it works in terms of integration. Does it work with mic button? Amazon plus Alexa, unlike Scout, has frequently worked fairly well, until now that is with no icons at all available to load. But I'm not letting Lexus off so easily. Darn nav system hasn't worked since day one which was nearly two years ago, and I am convinced I got a bum unit. I'm assuming Android Auto requires wiring to phone and logging into desired location manually, which is a far cry from total integration of just pressing menu button and logging into Scout or Amazon via mic button, which is what I expected and paid for. If I wanted a cumbersome system or just wanted to use Waze on phone, I could have gotten something other than a Lexus for far less $$. Lexus support is stumped and suggested I take it back to the dealership, which (a) isn't that close to me with gas prices so high, and (b) is about the 7th time I've taken to dealership to try to get the system flying right. This time, I think I'm gonna pitch a fit right on the sales floor and INSIST they install a whole new computer nav system. I understand the 2021's, unlike my '20, have fully integrated system for Android, not just Apple, and if that's what works and they can't make what I have works, that's what I want dammit.
  4. Nav system hasn't worked reliably since day one. One day Scout loads but Lexus plus Alexa won't. Next day the opposite. But I always had the icons on screen, they just wouldn't load. Got Lexus support on phone. The told me to uninstall and re-install everything. Then delete personal data and re-download software and update THREE times on vehicle. Did it. Now, no icons at all on screen. It's not dead..I see blue design, but no icon programs to load. Lexus tech is stumped. Any ideas or suggestions? One other thing: Scout refused to load for months on my old Galaxy S8 phone. Took to dealer, they had special tech rep come in, reported it worked fine on newer Galaxy phone. So I went and updated to newer Samsung S21 phone. It worked great....for about a week. Then, Scout refused to load for weeks on end, until one daky it magically loaded successfully, then went away again. What the H gives? Almost ready to give up on the *^&( thing, except I paid too darn much $$$ for junk.
