is it only the AWD that comes with 17's? Mine came with 18's but then again, mine is rear wheel so i dunno. i did have problems with my rims though. i was able to put a nice FAT lip on the back, but the front is very nancy looking. im highly dissapointed. I hate seeing these piece of *BLEEP* chrysler C's with their 5 inch lips all around. *BLEEP*es me off.

the car has not been lowered. it is stock. i'm gonna call my rim guy and try to get you an exact size for the rims. the ride difference is of course noticeable. nothing beats the ride on the stock wheels but it doesn't bother me, in fact im used to it.

there's no comparison. the mark levinson system is SERIOUS. if you like to listen to your music loud, it is the only way to go. other systems when you raise the volume the quality degrades and crackles. the ML maintains the crispness even on maximum volume (which by the way is ear splitting)

i just got 20's and its obvious the car needs a drop. ive heard 22's work but you're going to have to alter some stuff. i have a 430 so i dont know if our front break calipers are the same, but mine are very big, so getting deep dish rims in the front isn't possible. the back has a nice 4 inch lip, but on the front only 1.5 inches. these rims were custom made for my car and installed by a reputable shop. they told me its the best they could do becuase of the caliper's ridiculous size.

my left headlight randomly turns off. i dont know if its happened because the right headlight more than compensates for it. the only way i notice is if i pull into a 7/11 or something and i notice in the reflection of the windows that only one of my headlights is on. when i turn the switch to off and back to on, both lights are on.

i was snooping around on ebay, and i came across a mint condition duplicate of my center console. it was only $150 so i bought it immediately. im planning on integrating a custom iphone charging dock into it. any ideas or suggestions? im thinking of drawing power from the cigarette lighter.

can you take some pics of the upgraded navigation? preferably a shot of a map on the closest zoom and some other shots of various screens like phone and stuff

DO NOT be fooled by the $500 ipod kit. This is nothing more than a Vaistech ipod integration kit that lexus buys from Vaistech, and charges you a premium to install on your car. i bought it and installed it on my own and it only took about 15 minutes. it will end up costing you about $350. and thats for the one that shows VIDEOS off your video ipod. life is good.

i have the vaistech (non video) it works well. sound quality seems off, because of the fact that its an MP3 that you're comparing to CD. i dont think the unit itself degrades audio quality. im dying to have the video version, but it hasn't been tested on my year car.

i believe all you need to do is disconnect the battery for about 5 minutes then reconnect it. this should purge the old software thats loaded into the comp and load the new one (your old cd)

unfortunately many phones do not allow you to "send the whole phonebook" at once. i have an iphone but it does not support mass phonebook transfer. i instead copied my phonebook into a blackberry pearl, and that seemed to work ok.

press display. then deselect the screen off button.

i recently had my car serviced for oil change. they gave me a loaner. it was an RX and it had the same software that you have in the picture. it was BEAUTIFUL. everything was revamped, even the maps, everything looked crisp and had drop shadows. it looked better than google maps. if this is only a matter of the software disc, i am DEFINITELY interested. LOl did you make a copy of the DVD? honestly i was planning on it, but it was just an oil change. they called me back to pick it up in an hour and a half.

the new nav CD will downgrade your software. it will disable the override trick to watch DVD's while the car is moving and use the touchscreen. the street names and stuff however will be updated.

i have mixxed reviews. some people say it is indeed a ground, others say they dont know.

dealer says no? Thats ridiculous. They can easily add the navigation system to any car.

wussup everyone sorry for the extreme delay in my response. i thought i was 733T but ended up messing up my computer. i just got it back. no files were lost thank God. anyway i ended up getting the AF 119's. i have one picture but you cant really see the wheels that well other than i am in dire need of a drop. i will post up more pics as soon as i take the car for a photo shoot. here's what i have for now.

some of you may know i got into an accident and the front suspension was replaced. the car has been dead for 2 weeks and they finished up everything reconnected battery and this is what message im getting on the console. anyone know what these two terms mean? "check VSC" and "check ECB"

ok here goes... first of all there is a tremendous lag. it takes a few seconds for the track to change after you push the button. next, it only shows one track name at a time on the screen. this is primarily the fault of lexus and not vaistech as the car isn't capable of displaying a list of song titles. but the worse thing is everytime you switch from ipod to any other source of audio (radio, cd, sat) you have to go through this wierd process of hitting Mode 7 or 8 times before the vaistech starts working. i dont really know how else to describe it and maybe it isn't annoying for everyone but it *BLEEP*es the *BLEEP* out of me.

i love my GS and honestly, as advanced as the tech is.... they could have easily done more. my complaints: one screen that displays view options FOR EVERYTHING is incredibly irritating. i wish the A/C at least had its own screen. you have to keep switching back and forth between navigation, audio, and air conditioning, its annoying. 2nd.... no aux input. i had to pay 300+ for the vaistech ipod thing which honestly sucks balls. it gets on my nerves. 3rd....the screen directly beneath the speedometer is COMPLETELY useless. all it says is the temperature, which is pointless since there's a dedicated temperature display module next to the clock. at least if it showed the song track name, or the radio station name, or the street you're supposed to make a turn on ANYTHING is better than nothing. mercedes's are really good with having that screen under the speedometer be useful. it displays numerous things, temperature, direction of travel, mileage, song track name, navigation.......... list goes on and on. hopefully lexus will wise up and make some changes, they've made such an incredible car, not including these features which are becomming standard in most cars is a big mistake.

all suspension work on the car is done. they're gonna start working on the body and paint monday morning. i decided to go with asanti af 119's 20x8.5 in the front 20x10 in the back. they will look like this ordered them a week ago. the wheels will take 3 weeks to arrive. its a slow process but im trying to be patient. the wheels cost 4400 w/tires. insurance gave me only 2800 for rims so 1600 is vomitting from my pocket but im still thankful that none of us got hurt and it really could have been a lot worse. i just learned a very valuable lesson which is do not let anyone drive your car. period. "unfortunately" my girlfriend falls into the category of "anyone" so now i have a real excuse to say no when she asks :P raymsixsix: did she end up fixing the car or getting rid of it? im curious. thanks for the comments, i'll put up pics when its all done.
