  1. It's on Cars.com. Check out the pictures.
  2. Thanks JP Importz! The details are on the first panel. I can send you pictures if that will help. Where are you guys located? You can email us the photos, spec, and prices of your vehicle. We will be happy to pass the words along to your lexus clients. Good luck selling the vehicle sir. jpimportz@yahoo.com JP Importz ←
  3. Thank you! I'm getting a Boxster S. Silver with red leather. I have had the same in the past but had to sell it because it was a second car. I'm going to have it as a daily driver now that I'm not driving a lot of miles per month. I'm a huge Porsche fan!
  4. Well, I can't seem to get any more pictures uploaded. If you want to see them feel free to email me at burt@virginiacook.com and I'll get them sent to you.
  5. What is the best way to advertise my Lexus? A year ago I advertised my Honda CR-V on AutoTrader.com and did not get one call. I finally sold it on ebay but took a beating on it. What are your thoughts of Cars.com? It's expensive. Is it worth it? Have any of you sold a car off of it? Mine is a 1998 LS400 with 79,900 miles on it. It's white with tan and has navigation, dealer installed K40 with laser, and 18" chrome rims. It's been serviced at every interval and received all of the recommended services. I'm wanting $19,750. I have several more pictures that I've taken from different angles and of the interior including the touch screen for the factory nav system. Thanks for your help and your advice.
  6. I used to live near a guy who worked in the service department of Classic BMW and he said that because they are "engineered like no other car" that they also require the maintenance costs of no other car. He had just bought an Audi A6 4.2 Before I bought this car I was searching for a 530i with the sport package. But his advice detoured me from BMW. I'm actually looking at a Boxster S. I've had one before and loved it but it was only a second car then. Now it would be a daily driver. I do have to drive it pretty easy to get the city mileage in the 20's. And I have to spend a little bit of time on Central Expressway, the Tollway or LBJ otherwise it stays in the high teens. I have gotten 26mpg driving 80+mph to College Station and back.
  7. Too mushy of a ride and I'd prefer a smaller car.
  8. Hello Lexus fans, I'm looking for your suggestions as to prricing my car to sell. I have a 1998 white LS400 with tan interior, 78K miles, navigation, K40 radar detector (front and rear including laser), HID lights, 17" chrome 5-star wheels, and all of the other options you would expect to find on an LS. The car is in excellent condition with only one little ding in the rear passenger door. It's been serviced regularly since new. What would you say that this car will sell for? One thing that I'll miss about the car is having a 290hp V8 that consistently averages 20mpg in the city!
  9. I am not looking for a lower look though. Thanks for your suggestion.
  10. I wouldn't change the springs or shock. We put a couple of aftermarket springs and shocks on the Ls400 and they hated it. Stick with the stock unit. JP Importz ← What specifically did they dislike/hate about the new shocks/struts?
  11. No, I don't want an adjustable suspension...especially if it's air. I just want a firmer, more German-feeling ride. It all depends on how much your willing to spend. Tein's will offer you adj height and damping, but at a cool $1200. ←
  12. What ended up happening with this NAV update? I have the navigation system in my car too. And it's not been updated since 1999.
  13. Hello Lexus owners. Please help me. I have a 1998 LS400. Prior to this car I had a '99. Both cars have a really soft suspension set up. Prior to the Lexi I had Audi's so I'm used to a European suspension. I have grown weary of the floatyness of the car. It reminds me of a Lincoln Town Car. I either want to stiffen the suspension so that it rides more like a sports sedan or I will sell it. Am I reaching for the impossible here or is this doable? Your insight, experience and advice would be greatly appreciated. What shocks do I put on the car to stiffen it up? I have 17" wheels on the car already. Will stiffening the car's suspension have negative consequences? Thanks! -Burt
