  1. Trevenarj, We just had a Stop Light Switch Assembly replaced today on a 2002 SC430 with 34,000 miles. I don't have any real details beyond the fact that it was diagnosed by the dealer after a Check Engine light appeared the other day. Damages were as follows: parts $245.56 / Labor $301.50. No DIY links I'm afraid . . . good luck and keep up the posts!
  2. There seem to be a number of posts regarding CD updates for the Lexus Navigation system, but how about this . . . I have an '02 SC with the original system and no updates. I travel a particular road quite often and have memory of one straight East/West line. Several years ago the DOT began building a new extension that transected my usual route adding endless construction excitement. Just the other day, I noticed a perfect Nav image depicting the complexities of a new cloverleaf that is only 95% complete ! ? ! Add to that, there is a road and a bridge that weren't pavement in 2002 that I drive often - and understandably, on the Nav it looks as if I am amphibious over the Intracoastal waterway and marsh! Perhaps I was paying closer attention to potholes and the vistas than the Nav's minutia and pretty pictures, but still . . . Any thoughts?
  3. Hi Reyan, Don't know if you've solved your tire issue or not, but we had the same concerns - quiet comfort over speed and performance: I switched from run-flats to Michelin Pilot Sport and went from unknowingly putting up with a miserable ride to being completely thrilled. It has been about a year since the conversion and still endlessly remark about how ecstatic I am with the decision. Add to that that they perform well beyond my expectation is another plus. Make certain you have Lexus, or some VERY qualified group change the tires - just getting the wheels off will throw most tire shops - not to mention the expensive challenges of the sensors! Good luck,
  4. ghmundt, I recently took the plunge and replaced the run-flats with Michelin Pilot PS2 and wish I would have done the switch when first purchasing the car several years ago. I am in Florida and hence passed on the A/S . . . The tires are: quiet, comfortable and track beautifully without the characteristic run-flat tendency of following the crown of the road where ever the crown of the road decided we should go at any given moment! (Looking forward to any postings about donuts that might fit in the event of a flat) A true joy and ushers the magnificence of the rest of the vehicle into another realm completely ~
