Hello fine folks! I just purchased my first Toyota/Lexus today. It's a '98 ES300 and it's in remarkably good condition. 78k miles. It has a few problems which I was hoping some of you who are familiar with the platform could help me with. I do plan on being active around the forums and have already done a bit of reading before I signed up. Anyways the AC blows nice cold air but just barely. Adjusting the fan speed doesn't change it, it's like the blower motor is stuck on the lowest setting. From my reading I have learned about the blower motor resistor but from what I can gather, when that fails the fan is usually stuck on high. Seeing how the part costs nearly $200 I don't want to replace it only to learn it wasn't the problem. Thanks in advance.
