Hi. I’m new to the forum.  Is this the right place to post questions about the new 2022 NX350h?  If not, please let me know.

I’ve had mine for 1 month and we really like it.  It’s the luxury package so we’re still working through all of the features (digital mirror, giant display screen, wireless Apple Car Play vs the built in GPS, Advanced Park, new door handles, etc.).  So far, it’s very intuitive.

The only potential issue we have is around the actual miles per gallon we’re getting.  The spec is 39 hwy / 41 city for the hybrid.  With 7 miles on it, we drove away from the dealer and it displayed 26 mpg.  Slowly, over the next 4 weeks and after 2200 miles it has inched its way up to 34.1 mpg but seems to be plateauing at that number.  Strangely, the average mpg isn’t able to reset or set for a “trip” mode (dealer verified this) like a lot of cars.  So, while 34.1 isn’t bad, it’s not what we paid for when we purchased a hybrid.  Any similar experiences?

    thx

    OP

If you use adaptive cruise control and let the car accelerate on it's own, you will get better, but the best city MPG I have so far is about 37.

Go here, spend the day watching these videos, you will learn tons

    part one

    part 2

As to RESETTING the MPG, it is in settings on the screen.

On screen on left side tap on VEHICLE, then tap on TRIP INFORMATION then change from CURRENT to HISTORY then reset the MPG.  (click update I believe)

  2. Thanks, virtual connect button in the settings/phone?  I dont have the car here now to look.  Assume you mean go to phone in menu and  so on.

The other problem is the car lists 3 phones, one of them is my name and the word iPhone after, the other two simply say iPhone, I dont know which of the two is hers...  I assume I can delete both and add one back I just am not sure how to name it so the CAR reflects that name on the screen.

  3. Especially if I have been in car with my phone, then my wife gets in car, she has to connect her phone which she does not know how to do.

Yesterday after I was in the car even though I turned Bluetooth OFF on my phone so it would not connect, her phone did not connect when she got in car.  I connected her phone before she went on trip and now it is not connected again.

I guess if I am in the car and my phone is connected I will have to connect her phone, manually on the screen when she gets in every time, right?  But I did that and still it was disconnected.

Has to be a better way?

Not sure if on star uses same scoring but the on star site went more in depth in what is a good score.

Thanks, OnStar does confirm that the main score circled the higher the better, which I assumed it was but there’s no way of knowing for sure.

The other scores for cornering and so forth, There is still no way to interpret those.

    thanks for responding

  5. So your model is actually UX250H, not UX250?  You have the hybrid, right?  You see an "H" after the 250 on the model and on the car itself on the side of the car the word "hybrid?"

If so, this is a timely topic for me.  We have a 5 week old 250H (2021) and the first 3 times I got gas I got 39 MPG.

Yesterday it dropped to 35, no change in driving, same type of driving.  I did notice the "eco" was off, so I put it on and what I dont know is if it was on when I was getting 39.

So I am waiting to see what happens, I am also wondering what "drive pulse" numbers mean.  I did a whole thread about it here because they are confusing.  If anyone knows please go here

  6. This question is not specific to our model, which happens to be a UX 250H, but I use the Lexus app and while it is my wife's car I keep up on the info on it.

She drives it most of the time, 95%, she is a very conservative driver, no fast starts, no harsh cornering, etc.

The number in the middle of a green circle is "75"...the Fast acceleration is "84"...Harsh cornering is "126"...Harsh braking "102"..

It is a 0-100 scoring system it says...is 100 good or bad? If she has 126 for cornering, is that good or bad? What is the highest or lowest it could be?

If your battery were drained from the headlights being on, you wouldn't have been able to start the engine by just touching the battery terminals.

You may want to try to rotate each battery cable clamp to see if it rotates on the battery terminal. If it does, that may explain the no-start condition.
You can tighten each clamp with a box end wrench but you have to be careful that you don't also touch a grounded object while touching or tightening the positive terminal clamp.

    Thanks...

  8. Checked voltage of battery after finding it, and it was 12 volts. Before checking battery I tried both keys and nothing, including no "key not present or detected" or whatever it says, just nothing.

But after touching the battery and testing it, the car started and went back to normal.

I will take it to dealer, but has anyone had this experience?

    2021 UX 250H

(drove it for a bit, the hybrid battery was at 3 bars and went to 4 after driving a bit)

Also i think the headlights switch was not on auto but on DLR...

Will the headlights stay on indefinitely if you leave them on and not on auto? Will they be turned off in a few minutes if you accidentally leave them on? Since the battery tested good I dont think this had anything to do with it, but I need to know for future use.  Per manual NO they go off after 20 minutes.

I wish I knew what it was, the only other thing is it WAS in Park but maybe not perfectly?  I jiggled that after a while.

  9. The camera is not making the noise but the car is.  This is legally required to alert pedestrians that you are backing up or going forward (still a noise going forward but not as loud) since you are driving a hybrid and at times only the battery is functioning so there is no car engine sound, at all.  Very dangerous and so the noise is to warn people.
