  1. Here they are after the car got back from the detailer.
  2. I'm doing something wrong because I can't upload the files. It says "uploading files" and then the attachments area say (0) attachments. Help. I've attached them at other sites, just can't get them posted here. John
  3. I'm having a bit of a problem trying to upload pics. Don't know why since my files are under the 2Mb size. Will keep trying. John
  4. Just picked up a Black in Black IS-F at my local dealer. It is for my wife as she really deserves it. She has always wanted an IS, but we joked around saying that it's a college kid's car. Now she finally gets her wish! Traded in her 04 ES. I probably won't get to drive it much which is how I want it. We took it out for dinner tonight and when that 2nd intake opens up, it is a COMPLETELY different car. Will post pics later if anyone is interested. John
  5. Mine does the exact same thing! However, I got someone in the very back and did it. They said it's between the rear hatch and the rear body. I'll take it into the dealer sometime soon just to have them look at it. It's very easy to reproduce so it should be fixed easily.
  6. Well, I decided not to get it for the reasons described above. It was too much of a hit on depreciation to justify the trade. But when can you ever justify a new car when you try to pull out emotions and do it just on business sense. Thanks for all your input and I'll just HAVE to drive my loaded-out '04 RX 330 for now. ;) This group is wonderful for advice and will be sure to watch it frequently.
  7. The wood trim is gone because the steering wheel is heated, much like my long gone Touareg. I think you'll like it during the winter. (This is what my salesman told me)
  8. That's exactly what I'm dealing with right now. Look at the tax incentive thread. I own an '04 ES & RX 330. Both are great. But a friend at the dealer contacted me about this h in the list that I might be interested in. $$ gas wise is not the incentive at all, but a bunch of little things might be enough to push me over. So far, I've seen 1/4-1/3 better mpg, HOV travel, better acceleration (1 sec faster 0-60), gee whiz factor, $2000 tax incentive. But that's about it. Still deciding--> have this weekend to decide. Exact same color ext and int with exact same options as what I have now!
  9. Tried to email you but said I wasn't allowed. Thanks for your help anyway. I know you can also park free of charge in certain cities along with HOV lanes, etc. I think the only thing tax wise I've seen in all the literature is the $2000 deduction and sales tax which all cars get now anyway.
  10. Yeah, that's the only deduction that I could find, but someone mentioned that they thought there might be some kind of mileage deduction. Texas is one of the few states that doesn't have an income tax. I was told you can also write off the sales tax again this year. Thanks for your help and if anybody else can chime in, I'd greatly appreciate it.
  11. This is my first post on this forum but I've been following for quite awhile. Could someone tell me if there are any tax incentives for purchasing a 400H. I've found in the IRS (publication 535 section 12) a $2000 deduction for clean-fuel vehicle, but that's about it. Supposedly, there are many more. The reason for asking is that I own a '04 RX 330 and could get my hands on a 400H in about 10 weeks that was offered to me. It's hard to justify the $$$ difference if you only consider the mpg, wow factor and acceleration. I driven a 400H a couple of times the last few days and am really impressed. I need to make the decision quickly so I would really appreciate it if anybody can help me. Most of the people on this forum are business gurus and know the tax codes as well as their CPA's. BTW, I usually deduct about 1800 miles/yr for business expense and usually put 20,000 miles/yr total. Thanks in advance for your help!!! John S. Johnson, Lubbock, TX
