  1. Hello to all and thank you for having me as part of this forum! I am a 44 year old male living in Tri-Cities, WA. I purchased my '92 SC300 earlier this year in March. It ran rough when I purchased it and not much has changed 🤣. It is an auto with 164K on its clock. I figured the $2500 price wasn't bad nor would fixing the car be bad but boy was I wrong! To date I have replaced all the following items with new and have been doing the work myself. IACV ($300), TPS ($115), MAF ($150), cap ($24), rotor ($9), plugs ($75), wires ($110), valve cover gasket ($52). I smoked the entire system and found no leaks ($30). I have also jumped the obd for codes and it gives me none. Next I figured maybe the ECU wasn't grounded properly so I took it out and cleaned all mounting points, still nothing. I think next I will try to locate a good used ECU and swap it out. I am almost at a stand still with this car but yet I am still determined to figure this one out. It is a dream car of mine so I do not see me losing interest until I am broke and it still runs like crap. The only mods that this car has is aftermarket (ugly) 18" wheels from an infinity. I am uncertain of the # of owners but i am sure it has a list. The body is in fair condition but the interior needs help. The climate control works but the display does not so it is a bit of a guessing game. Door panels, seats, carpet and suspension all need replaced. I do believe i bought myself my very first lemon 😂. Wish me luck and I will keep you all posted on any and all progress that I make!!
