  1. it lets you know how many miles you cn go before the tank is empty and when it gets down to like 50-60 then it will just read low fuel,also it tells you how many miles per gallon your averaging while driving and the timer tells you how much time youve spent driving the car until it turns over or you reset it

  10. that was a thought but i dont know what those battries are for if you are someone else knows how these radars are built into lexus vehicles so i can check for a signal coming in
  11. last week after i took my radio out to inspect my speaker problem after i put everything back together my radar didnt work this is the radar that the dealer bilds into the car so i dont know how to check it to find out the problem.i have a knob under the hood release mechanism that turns it on/off and controls the volume which i guess leads to the module that is under the reciever/drier in the bumper. i did have to remove the covers under the steering wheel where the knob is but i didnt disconnect anything thats relayted to the radar i did notice these 2 little round batteries that are connected to the module behind the knob.does anyone know how to trouble shoot this thing because ive turned the knob both ways and it sems like im not getting power usually when i turn the car on the 2 red lights that are in the dash come on and the radar beeps plus the power light near the knob illuminates to show that it is active
  12. i cleaned the radiator out but i never removed the condenser, my coolant level is fine.how exactly do you bleed the system?i did turn the heater to hot and let it run for a while.my cooling fan comes on as soon as i start the car and the condenser fan comes on as soon as i turn the a/c on and all sensors are connected.how can i check to see if the fan clutch is operating correctly?like i said this only happens when i turn the a/c on when its really hot outside
  13. yeah man its really getting on my nerves i never had this problem until i changed the belt everything else is fine so im inclined to thinkit might be the pump the only thing that i cant figure out is why it only happens when i turn the on the a/c on a really hot day. has this happened to anyone else?
  14. i have georgia plates right now which only require a rear plate i also had new york and new jersey plates which require both
  15. it should take almost 3 gallons to fill the engine,radiator and reservoir after i changed the timing belt about 2 and a half months ago my cars temp gauge starts to rise when i turn the a/c on but only when its 90+ outside and i still havent figured it out someone told me the new belt might be putting too much pressure on the old pump but everything was ok until i did the TB job since then i even flushed the cooling system and put a new thermostat and still no luck what do you guys think?
  16. from the info in the forum i used a solution of woolite and water and it worked pretty well my roof lining wasnt really dirty either but i know the was stuff in from not being cleaned in so long
  17. a tune-up usually means new wires and plugs plus air and fuel filter
  18. probably the motor like larry said as for the low idle and the dying you might need a tune-up fuel filter spark plugs and wires also try you battery connections that click is the starter solenoid opening and closing so maybe your connections are loose
  19. i drivefast by nature since i do most of it on the highway and ilearned a long time ago that the ls will be doing 80-90 and feel like 50 lucky for me mins had some kind of radar already built into the car which is really good
  20. blakemy 98 starts the same exact way and i always wondered if that was normal since my 91 did it also being a lexus i always figured the car should just go vroom as soon as you turn the key does anyone know if the newer models have that same 1-2 second delay?

  22. i agree with sk the warranty is not needed i think carmax is a little pricey you could probably get the same price or a little more from the dealer then you wouldnt have to worry about the little things
  23. i drove the old es and gs and they couldnt compare to my 91ls but i always thought of the rx when it first came out was more suited for a woman even though i wouldnt mind having one of the new ones(too small) plus suvs dont handle well or maybe its my driving style every time i drive my wifes 04 yukon even though i was surprised that the ride quality was really good actually the suspension is great IMO sometimes when i hit bumps or potholes it seems like i almost lose the steering wheel NYC streets are terrible
  24. the nxt is really good after you wax then use the booster sray after you wassh the car and you wont regret it you car will shine real good im about to go wash the crap off my car and use the booster spray now
