my wife and i have a 2004 yukon and my 98ls with full coverage in ga. we insure through geico and both cars are a little under 1k. the taxes for the ls were $360 while the yukon was $500+. i thought once we moved to ga. it would be much cheaper than this since im always hearing how cheap the rates are down south. im not really complaining b/c thats about 1k cheaper than in jersey and a whopping 6k cheaper than what i was paying for my 91ls in nyc back in 96. but it still hurts to see some of the rates some of you guys are getting

it is tragic but not unbelievable, this has happened b4 in new orleans but to a lesser degree. ive been watching cnn all day reminds me of 9/11.they are saying that this was predicted b/c of the location in the gulf. i cant really explain it but if you watch cnn for a while im quite sure it will recap everything over and over again. truly saddening

30mpg is not a regular occurrence i can only ahieve this on very long trips and my speed has to be above 90 for a very long time , doing about 80+ i average about 23-24pg with the rpms around 2500. no one is going to average 30mpg on a regular basis

i would go with the 93 for the upgrades and by the time you finish paying for the tb & water pump it will all even out anyway.the miles dont really make a diff. since they are bothbuilt to last if they were properly maintained

i saw on the news a getty station was charging $3.59 for premium and it will most likely get worst. the city had consumer affairs people out checking the pumps ll over the city to make sure people are getting all the gas they pay for thatsounds like a public relation thing to make us feel better about the prices
