  3. Who says you can't name shops???? I have in the past and I have been given names in the past..... No one said anything to me about the name thing...? Were is this coming from. I my know a shop in LA, I was traveling though the valley and needed my front seat fixed. Shop seemed good. Guy was nice. Price seemed fair. Lets resolve the name thing and I'll find the name of the shop. It is on Ventura Blvd., I think in Woodland Hills. Maybe by Corbin. On the north side of the street.:whistles: ← i think he just meant b/c nc is in north carolina and hes in cali
  4. just came back you couldnt have said it better
  5. i love my 98ls but i have a whole different appreciation for the 06 ls430. ive said b4 that i would take the bmw 745 over the ls430 b/c i like the body style much better and i still probably would but i would def. purchase a 430. the ride btw my 98 and the 430 is like night and day to me. the handling is much better and not as much roll. i hit the corners pretty hard on the course just to see. im convinced. i also drove the 400h and it has alot of power and handles well too. basically i drove all the cars like sports cars and i have NO complaints. i drove the e500,the gs300 and the 530i back to back and the gs had the better feeling interior, realsoft leather. the only thing was that the wood steering wheel felt too snall and light. both the 500 and 530 handled excellent but i will give the edge to the bmw. it was a toss up really. the gs was no chump either, it stays upright in corners just like the comercial advertises. the bmw tends to lean more but you cant tell when your driving only watching someone else drive and the idrive which everyone complains about wasnt bad, i could get used to it.the 500 handled great as well, the ONLY knock is the interior feels too stiff and theres too much going on inside. the line was just too long for the gs430 and i went back several times b4 i had to leave but if the 300 is any indication im sure it was great . the same deal with theIS models. LONG LINES. THEY WERE BURNING ALOT OF RUBBER OVER THERE
  6. looks like molding
  7. i actually ordered the same ones for my 98 from the same company
  8. your not the one whos nuts, just go to a regular oil shop
  9. I'm almost at 110,000 miles on my 98. I think it's about time I purchase a belt and take it to midas to change my timing belt. Man, I need a water pump too when I change the timing belt don't I. ←
  10. sorry i cant say anything thats a fact but i did flush mine at 119k and the fluid was a ddirty brown. of course i had ust did the drain and about 2 weeks prior with the dexton3, anyway i did it myself and the tranny def. feels totally diff. a lot smoother and i checked periodically for any leaks and no problems as of now. this was about 2 months ago
  11. def. do all the things that steve recommended. personally i think they are rock sold as long as they were taken care of, my 91 never gave me problems except that a/c compressor and i just upgraded in 03
  12. i have also thought about the dual exhaust with the tails coming out thats what i miss the most about my 91. there's a guy in clublexus who works with d2autosport that did this mod by changing out the mufflers and it looked ok
  13. i think this is problem on the early model ls there was a thread somewhere on the forum discussing it, when i had my 91ls the compressor failed at about 160k but that was in 2003
  14. but dont you save some of that money in taxes?
  15. thanks for the info

  17. I've never experienced this happening, but i'm 100% sure the higher class Lexus models have this feature. ← must be the 430 b/c i dont experience this in my 98
  18. nothng but a good pressure washer like sw said
  19. yeah ive seen this only for that price also with free shipping
  20. you sure its not something else? b/c you shouldnt even have to worry about the tb until 90k and beyond
  21. gs since it seems like no one can help you over here you might want to try the clublexus site where they have a specific forum for this kind of task. mods. dont jump on me im just trying to hep out another lexus owner and it seems like no one can get this done for him
  22. thats a different recall for suspension not steering
