  1. I believe you would need the headunit as well as the amp. Aftermarket looks good and you get the added benefit of bluetooth, usb, etc...
  2. Thanks for sharing this bit of info.
  3. Only 95-97 parts will bolt on to your car. The 98-00 are redesigned and body parts will not fit without major modifications.
  4. Funny thing billy. Someone just private messaged me on the other forum about this same issue. I guess they did not like my answer.
  5. There HAS to be an explanation.
  6. I've used Wagner pads in the past but currently have Akebeno on there now.
  7. First of all what year is your LS, how many miles are on it and what kind of maintenance have you done in the last couple of years? It's not a quick fix. You have to figure out what is causing the codes.
  8. P0135 point to the oxygen sensor on bank 1 sensor 1 which is the drivers side. P0305 is a misfire in cylinder #5 P0430 catalyst Efficiency below threshold (bank 2)
  9. No need to remove the carpet to change the front (upper) O2 sensors.
  10. Glad you were able to figure it out. Are those bolts hidden?
  11. I agree with what billy has suggested.
  12. You are probably going to have to drop the tranny some to get enough clearance to either drill the bolt out or cut a notch in it so you can use a screw driver. I would not want to do this laying on my back so a lift is preferable.
  13. Just click the link provided above your last post and find your vehicle but to answer your question they open up your radio and CREATE an aux port for you.
  14. There are 2 bolts in the front and 2 in the back of the seat that connect it to the floor. They are covered by plastic trim which you just pop off, move the seat forward and backward to remove bolts. You also have to remove 1 bolt that connects the seatbelt to the seat, you also have to pop out the plastic trim to gain access but it's obvious. Now raise the front of the seat and then disconnect the battery since you will be unplugging the airbag and power seat connectors. You don't want to accidentally deploy the airbag so wait a couple of minutes after disconnecting the battery before unplugging the connector.
  15. The insulation is so brittle it's going to probably crack for sure. I used a pair of needle nose pliers and was very gentle when changing my starter. I think I still damaged one though.
  16. With all those misfires on the same bank you might want to check your oil control valve.
  17. Yeah I know I have to address my oil pan leak lol.
  18. When I was having the multiple cylinder misfire on one bank it turned out to be the oil control valve on that side.
  19. Some dealers are shameless. I would find a TRUSTED indie shop in your area.
  20. I know in the picture that i had it was on the drivers side of the transmission. I have that side of the car on jack stands doing some work on the tie rods so I'll take a look to see if I can locate it tomorrow.
  21. Inner and outer tie rods on the way plus inner removal tool. I don't look forward to changing then though.
  22. Yeah, I get a clunk sometimes in left turns at full clock.
  23. While driving yesterday I kept hear this constant noise coming from the wheels while driving at slow speeds. Once the speed was a little faster it was harder to hear. I knew I would have to pull all 4 wheels or else the noise would drive me crazy plus I have this fear of tire issues from when a tire shop either tightened the lugs too much or not enough and the studs broke going 70 mph on the turnpike. That was scary, I watched the tired bounce across 6 lanes of traffic and end up on the other side of the road in the opposite direction. Anyway since the I recently purchased a Makita cordless impact it makes taking off the wheels 1000x easier. This what what I found. It seems the boot is leaking and I'm trying to figure out how easy/hard this is to remedy. I have not confirmed this is what's causing the noise bit I'm pretty sure it is. It seems my tie rods need to be changed too. when I jacked up the front wheel on the drivers side I was able to turn the wheel from side to side at the 3 & 9 position. That can't be normal!
  24. This is a well known issue with the LS 400. When the power steering pump leaks all the fluid goes right into the alternator and takes the destroys it. Your going to have to rebuild/replace the power steering pump and the alternator. All your your lights are on and dimming because the alternator is not charging the battery. That's dried up transmission fluid in your alternator.
