I've got an rx400 2006 with gen 4 system I put gen 5 navigation dvds in it and it works fine. -
Yes, I would. I have a sun shade. My rx400 dash cracked, but Lexus had a recall and replaced it due to some inferior material. Also it was highly recommended not to put Armor all on it.

I have an 2006 RX400 just purchased an updated navigation dvd from amazon. I have a 4th generation navigation and the system accepted the latest 5th generation dvd with no issues. Less than $20.
