  1. I looking for an OEM trailer hitch for my RX 350. The Toyota Highlander and Lexus hitch look the same. Lexus trailer hitch part# is PT228-48045 while the Highlander hitch is PT228-69045. The only reason I'm asking is my Lexus dealer wants $400 for the part while the Toyota the next car lot over wants $275
  2. I found that Toyota T-IV transmission fluid is also used in Mazda's 6 speed Auto. transmission. According to a Mazda bulletin the following fluids are compatible with the Toyota T-IV transmission fluid. ATF type JWS 3309 produced by Mobil and Exxon. Mazda also adds that this fluid (JWS 3309) is available thru GM part#GM9986195, MOBIL JWS 3309, FORD XT-8QAW, and Toyota T-IV. Mazda North America adds the type of transmission used in their vehicles is one that is manufactured by Aisin Warner. I think the U140E/F transmission used in the RX300 is a Aisin Warner transmission. So I'm under the impression that we can use something that Toyota's type T-IV.
  3. I have an '02 RX300 FWD and would like to add an aux. transmission cooler infront of the radiator. Can anyone who has a AWD '02 lexus or one with a towing package tell me which of the two transmission oil lines at the bottom of the radiator are connected to their aux. oil cooler.
  4. I have a FWD 2002 FWD RX300 which was purchased new and currently has 47,000 miles. When starting out in the morning the transmission does not upshift until above 2000 RPM's. This happens ever morning. Once the transmission upshifts, it shifts normally. I've taken it back to the Lexus dealer and he cannot duplicate the problem. The fluid has been changed twice, and the fluid is bright red. Is the start of transmission problems or is this normal for a Lexus.
