Probably not to early Sept. They are still building RX 330s into late July, and it takes up to 20 days to get those cars from factory to dealer. So they wont be in a rush to deliver the 06's to the dealer. The 06 will be the same car with a few cosmetic changes

Agree its more like late September than early and if you want to get what you want-not what they have- its more like October.

i found it! i removed the panel on the passenger side. it is a fm modulator with a 13pin cable leading up to the dvd unit. i tuned the radio to the sation on the device and played a dvd and voila! i have sound coming from all the speakers. ahhhhhhhhh! i feel a sigh of relief and knowing this i can finally sleep well. now the question is how can i feed video to the front dispaly? hmmmmmm.

i think most of the lexus vehicles are behind the glove box. i remember that from my RX300 and i think it's the same thing for my GX now.

Hi.

  I'm a new Lexus owner and will be picking up my RX330 in a couple weeks.  B)

  I'm a little worried about someone taking the headlights in addition to the routine bumper scrapes and stuff.

  I've seen some other lexuses in the area, and they have a chrome bar that partially covers the headlights and maybe the bumper as well.

  What is this called, and who should I get to install it?  Is it something I can just tell the dealer to put on before I pick up the car (That would be optimal).  Also, how much does this go for?

Front or rear? Anyway, just change the yellow bulbs to blue ones. An E-Z job. Just remove the light fixture, and twist out the bulbs. And do a switch!

Is that even legal?

inspections without changing back to the stock ones

Another choice would be the Pirelli Scorpion Zero.  Not sure the price however.   B)

Don't believe Michelin has a 235-55-18 size in the Cross Terrain.

There are only a handfull that fit 18s

Pirellis, Michelin stock and Blizzak ithink there is one other

After my second test drive I noticed that the materials inside are not of high quality.  Of course the fit and finish is very good, but the materials are not.  I drove a black interior 400h and the doors panels have plastic in them instead of leather.  My Honda mini van has leather in the door panels.  The plastics on the center console does not come up to what the price should dictate.

I ordered a GS430 that looks like it is worth what I will pay for it.  I was going to put wood in the 400h and add some after market items to spruce it up, but the GS430 comes with everything I want and it is only a about 9K more with a V8.  The V6 is less expensive than the 400h. 

Sorry guys, I wish the 400h came up to more luxorous standards.

Well..I own a RX330 and a BMW X5 and i have to say the BMW "feels" more solid

tactilly than the Lexus. The doors on the RX feel alot lighter than the X5, yet, that said, the Lexus drives alot smoother and quieter and handles cleaner than the X5

The confusion probably comes from two features having a DVD component.

There is the DVD Navigation System - this is a standard feature on the Rx400h so it is always there. So all Rx400h's will have that kind of "DVD".

Then there is the rear DVD entertainment system - AFAIK, the only true option in the first builds. My dealer says that only 20% of the first builds are getting that option. My RX400H doesn't have it.

Question for RX 330 owners - is the DVD in the RX330 navigation system only for loading navigation information or can you play a DVD movie on it when stopped? I've assumed that it only holds the navigation information but I'm not sure of that.

Actually, i have a "straight" RX330 w Nav+DVD RearEntertainmetnSystem (RES)

I can watch DVD movies on BOTH monitors when the car is STOPPED (ie the front "NAV" screen and the Rear DVD screen)

You can NOT watch movies while driving the car on the FRONT NAV Screen :cries:
