Car shifts when it wants to when it doesn’t shift I disconnect the battery terminals for about 2 minutes then go to drive and it will shift perfectly fine for about 2 miles or until my next completed stop

I have some rims that are 18’s but the tires are 275/35zr18 for the rear they go to mount but the struts get in the way what I’m asking is if anyone would know what size spacer to get without it looking stupid
