  1. Thanks! Not to be to dim, but sounds like changing the plugs would be a good first step. It's time for it anyway. I've heard using the NKG is best?
  2. Hi guys/gals! My gas milage is down to about 11mpg (from 17) and I got the following OBDII codes: (All P) 0300, 0301, 0303, 0305, 0171, 0174, 1130, 1153 I'm hoping that by by replacing the two O2 sensors (based on 0171 and 0174) the other codes will be fixed. However, I'm not sure of the following: 1) Where are those two sensors located (I think I have 3 sensors total on this RX300) 2) Does anyone know the part numbers. I've heard the Highlander is the same engine, so I was thinking of trying to get them from the Toyota dealer near my home 3) Are they difficult to replace (as always pics, instrcutions would be apprciated). I am also polanning on cleaning the MAF sensor, but I already have instructions on that. Thanks in advance!
  3. Thanks for the good advice. I will check it throroughly.
  4. Hi, I went with Warranty Warehouse. I haven't had to use them yet, so I don't want to recommend/not recommend them, but after researching it, they seemed good. I paid $1700/$0 deduct up to 6yrs/100K. I have 52k on it now, and do 10K a year, so I should get the full 6 yrs. What is the name of your extended warranty company? I am shopping around.
  5. For wwest, Can you tell me where you got your leather wheel and shifter, along withg the cost? I am looking to get rid of my wood/black ones. Thanks!
  6. Hi! I have changed the wood trim to stainless steel inside (painted and it actually looks nice) excpet for the steering wheel and gear shifter knob, which still have the wood trim. Does anyone know where I can get matching black leather steering wheel cover and shifter cover for the RX300? I know I can find the wheel cover at any auto store, but I'm not having luck finding the shifter cover...do they even make these? Thanks!
  7. Hi, I bought a 2001 AWD 1 year ago with 47K on it. After reading up on potential problems, I researched all extended warranty companies and decided to go with one (6 yrs/100K) that covers everything. cost was about $1500. won't know if it was stupid idea for a few years, but i like the piece of mind.
  8. There are a total of 7 wood parts: 2 - front door window switch consoles 1 - Steering wheel (which I would just buy a leather wrap to hide the old wood) 1 - large u-piece that goes around the control center 1 - Shifter 2 - rear door window switch consoles There is quite a bit of black (around vents, etc) that I want to keep, even though most overlays I've found include materials to cover it. I think the mix of black and aluminum would look nice. If I can find the aluminum replacements from a Silversport (I'm assuming no other RX300's have the aluminum trim) is it difficult to replace them? Thanks...this forum is great!
  9. Hi! First time post. I have a 2001 rx300 and really dislike the wood trim. Is it possible to swap it with aluminum from a Silversport if I can find it? I am also thinking of the aluminum overlay...any feedback? Thanks!!
