  1. When loading your cd, make sure that the smooth side of the cd is facing up and the other side with the title of the cd is facing down. This will correct your "ERR" problems.
  2. I have a 2000 gs300 that I recently replaced the rear sub with 450watts(pioneer free-air) and a 300watts 1 channel amp. And let me tell you the bass is amazing.
  3. When I played music for a couple of hours my amplifier get really hot so I decided to install a fan so it can cool down a bite. I connected the positive(red wire) to the amplifier positive and the negitive(black wire) to the negitive. I would assume once I turn off the radio the fan would shut off too guess what? The god damn fan stays on. Can someone show me how to hook this up that when I turn my radio off the fan would shut off too. Note: there are only 2 wires coming from the fan which is red and black. Thanks
  4. Dynamat is all you need. Just as long as you dont install a 1000 watts amp. you'll be fine with Dynamat.
  5. 2000 gs300: Can someone tell me if I install the strut tower bar do I have to remove the engine cover? It doesn't look like there's enough room between the engine cover and the hood. Note: I didnt get the strut bar yet. I remember a few months ago that someone had mention that you can remove the yellow lens from the tail light, is this true? If so, please somebody tell me how to remove it? Thanks
  6. I have a 2000 GS300. All I'm doing is pulling out the factory sub. in the rear and replaced it with better and higher wattage sub. Anyone else have any suggestions or tips please let me know.
  7. I will be installing an after market free air sub and amp. this weekend and I just want to be prepare for this. Now since I will be using the factory head unit and there's no preamp outputs that means I have to use a hi/low converter to tap to the speaker wire that runs into the back(factory sub). Now is this possible since this wire is actually a low level frequency and not a high level frequency. Thanks PS I will let you guys know whether it sounds good or bad with the free air sub. I hope it will sound good because I really dont want to put a box in there and lose half of the trunk space.
  8. Hi all, I'm about to hook up an after market amp.(sony). What I would like to do is to run the remote wire from the amp. to the back of the head unit. So I want to know if the head unit does have the remote wire. This is for when I turn off the head unit the amp. should also turn off too. One more thing I like to know is...is there a pre-opening between the inside cabin and under the hood so I can run the power line to the battery or do I have to drill a hole? Thanks...
  9. Does anyone know if the factory amp is pushing all the cabin speakers including the sub or just pushing the sub only? Basically, I just wants to upgrade the factory sub and the factory amp and keep the head unit and cabin speakers. Now if I do that I have to disconnect the factory amp to replace it with the after market one. If I disconnect the amp, what will be pushing the cabin speakers? Head unit? All I really want to do is upgrade the factory sub and amp to something else with more bass and keep the head unit and all the cabin speakers. And I also want to know if whether I need a Hi/Low converter to get the juice from the speaker wire that runs to the sub in the back or it is the factory head unit(pioneer) have a RCA(out) so that I dont need t get the juice from the speaker wire? Thank you to you all. P.S. I have a 2000 gs300 if you're just wondering
