  1. Do them both.A tranny cooler is cheap.Do you have any ideas of where your going to get gears? ← I believe RMM makes a perf. limited slip diff. w/3.71 gears. I think we have 3.25 gears stock or something like that. They want like $1600 for the setup though . I'm just to trying to understand something; I know by changing the rear (gears) will give you greater acceleration (.5 sec. off 0 - 60) but you will also ALWAYS be running at a higher RPM than stock. ie on the highway instead of 2500 RPM at 80mph you would probably be at 2900- 3000 RPM. Now what happens with a torque converter? Do your RPM's increase from stock at the same MPH (like the previous "highway" example? ← Good Question... I was wondering the same thing... Guys anybody wanna handle this question.???
  2. A friend of mine just got a 02 gs430 blk/blk, we been having a debate on if 22 inch chrome rims will fit if he added air suspension to it? We know the ride quality is gonna be non-existant :chairshot:... But he trying to compete wit da cats 'round here riding 22's on old school cars..
  3. Not anymore, 72 month car loans are becoming very popular and I've even seen a couple 84 month loans. My Prius is financed for 72 months. ← I used to sell cars and im a finance major. Ha go ahead and get your chuckles in. Anyway, personally I would suggest putting some money down, of course you know money down equals lower payments. As far as getting a 60 or 72 month loan, why trade it after 2 or 3 yrs when you're still gonna be upside down( when you owe more than the car is worth) So whenever you trade it in , whatever you owe is just gonna be refinanced into your next car payment. Like SRK said most of the interest is paid with-in the first 12-24 months anyway.. Just my 2 cents :whistles:
  4. If I only had those four to pick from: Yokohama. But do more research. Try a search, as there are many opinions from various users. ← Falken Ziex ZE-512. mine were $45 a piece, but they are smaller than yours will be. i wouldnt think you would pay over $100 a piece though, and they are the BEST tires i have ever owned...PERIOD. I have logged over 500,000 miles on americas roads, but these are by far the best. they are quiet and have excellent handling they are the BEST of all worlds. when these wear out, they will be rpelaced by the same thing. do a search for "Falken" and see look at my post. ← I would definetly second those Falken Ziex ZE-512, I had those exact tires on my honda only in a 18" and they were excellent. Low road noise, excellent tire grip, nice speed rating and they hug the road like a fat lady holding a twinky.. :D
  5. I was reading one of the older post on this website and came across someone that said alot of the members have +200,000 miles on their cars and it's still running strong. I was just wondering what kinda mileage do you guys have on your cars right now??? B4 my honda was stolen i had 131,000 but it had awhile to go and it was a 97.
  6. hi to all! I have been checking in and out of this forum for awhile now about a month or so, everyday though(just as a guest) and I finally decided to join(breath of fresh air). I think alot of the members of this forum have great knowledge when it comes to the lexus car and will do everything they can to help, I almost read all topics! Now the story: a month ago my car was stolen I had a 1997 honda accord v6 with rims, system, the works. I am now having to drive my mom's old 1993 toyota camry until i get something new(hopefully it won't be longer than another month, pray for me ppl). Now the good news.. Having just joined this forum and especially posting in this particular sub-category as you can guess i want a lexus gs, (98-00 gs400 to be exact). I would like the works tho, H.I.D's, nav, and i plan on modding it out a little, perfermance upgrades, exterior mods.(I know modding is a disease that spreads very easily :) ) Please have patience with me in my questions as I try to step into the world of LEXUS OWNERS!! I hope to hear from you all.
