  1. I'd go with the Lexus dealer installed XM radio as opposed to an after market option. Even though it run you a few more bucks, I'd trust Lexus to do the work instead of an audio shop. Also, wouldn't you prefer to have XM radio work within the LS 430s radio as opposed to having an external satellite radio player in your car? I guess it depends on how much cheaper the aftermarket is compared to the dealer installed option... Good luck!
  2. I'd love to see what a GS looks like with 22" rims. Unfortunately the sorry state of our roads up here don't permit us to run anything too big or we'll be cracking rims constantly.
  3. One thing that bothered me about thbe LX470 was the lack of HID headlights as an option. The Halogen headlights were adequate, but a truck at that price really should offer HIDs.
  4. Great choice of colors! It's too bad we have to wait until next winter to test out the AWD system.
  5. The winter tires were mounted on rims so I don't think they would be able to fit in the trunk because they can't bend the way tires can. But at least put them in the footwell in the back seat and not on the leather. Were not gonna call anyone this morning, we'll wait till they get in touch with us. If we don't hear from them all day today, we'll send off a letter. Thanks for they support guys, great site with great info!
  6. I'd drop it an inch and a half. Otherwise the car's gorgeous!
  7. We knoe these things happen, and I sure we're gonna get our answers tomorrow as to who loaded the tires and how the car was delivered, but it really did ruined the moment. We're not ones to leave screaming messages or give people hell over a situation like this. Maybe if we had my father wouldn't be without a car for the weekend. What's most bothersome is that Lexus nor our salesman tried to reach us that afternoon after we left, or felt it necessary to return our phone calls. Every car company (even Lexus apparently) has their bad moments, the real test will be how they redeem themselves tomorrow.
  8. I'm usually partial to german cars in terms of styling, but the new IS is a total knock out! Can't wait to see them in person.
  9. After much anticpation my father's GS300 came in friday. Now, he's been a long time customer of Lexus going back to 1991 when he bought one of the first LS400s to arrive in Canada. He drove in for 8 years, and absolutely loved it. Then in 1999, he picked up an LX 470 that he leased for 3 years. Much like the LS, the LX was completely problem free over the duration of the lease. After the LX 470s lease was up, I talked him in to leasing a BMW 4.4i for 2 1/2 years. At the time the car was considered to be a good buy so he went for it. He was a little apprehensive to go german after he's had such a good experience with Lexus over the last 11 years. Anyways, the car ended up being a total POS. Non stop problems with the electric system, steering, brakes, you name it. Which brings us to today. He made the decision to go back to Lexus, and went with a blue onyx/cashmere loaded GS 300 AWD. He got the call from his guy on Friday afternoon saying that the car had finally come in, and we can go pick it up. Yay! We pull up to the place and we see the car right away. Gorgeous! Then, at closer inspection, we notice the winter wheels he had bought with the car were piled up in the back seat right on the leather :o . We open the back door, remove the wheels, and much to our disappointment, the leather was all dirty, and the perforated seats were heavily indented from the weight of the wheels and tires. Anyways, he walks in and tells the gentleman that he deals with very politely that he's refusing the car, and wants a new one no matter how long it takes. My father's salesman at the leaseing company was visibly embarassed because he had pulled up when we did and wasn't aware Lexus sent the car over with the wheels piled up in the back seat. We left, went back to work, and after leaving messages at Lexus, no one called us back. Now, I don't know what moron working at Lexus thought it was ok to put the wheels directly on the back seat, but he's gonna catch some serious *BLEEP*e when he arrives at work on monday. And to top it all off, no one called us back on Friday or even offering a courtesy car for the weekend. WTF? After his crappy experience with the Bimmer, he was so looking forward to the Lexus, then this happens. Sigh... What do you guys suggest he does now?
