  1. BTW, I am impressed with how my GX just doesn't use any oil. I drove over 4,000 miles , on the interstate at high speeds, along with quite a bit of stop and go city driving, and the dip stick is still right at the full mark. ← I too have been using Mobil1 since 1990 and will continue this in my GX once it hits 5000 miles. Our current 98 LandCruiser with the same engine as the LX does not burn a drop of oil for the past 70K miles. I use if for sand dunes, off road and towing my 5000 boat. What an amazing engine. Somehow it still pulls harder than my GX.
  2. I have a LandCruiser and a GX 470. If I have to choose one, I will go with the bigger LX 2 years ago. If you are buying this year, go with the GX, it is awesome. I have my Treo 650 (cingular) connected through the system and just purchased the iPod connection so that I can control it throught the stearing wheel going through the Mark Levinson system. A new LX model is due 2007 (hopefully out early 2006) and I think it is based on the Sequoia which is not as good as the LandCruiser. Tough choices, good luck with the search
  3. Just bought the GX yesterday and using only 2 booster seats. We also have a LandCruiser with the same interior as the LX and it is very hard to fit 3 booster seats. Buckling is a pain. If you put the rear facing seat in the middle with the buckle in place all the time. It is not so bad with 2 boosters on either side. Good luck. If I have to choose one car, the bigger LX is the way to go. They are coming out with a new model for 2007 (available hopefully early 2006).
  4. Just bought the GX yesterday with the same interior and Silver Pine exterior. I am not a fan of silver but this pine color sure made it look nice. I have had black cars before and currently still own a dark green Land Cruiser. It is sure nice having a car that looks clean for more than a day after washing it. Well it is only the second day owning it but dirt does not show up at all, so are the swirl marks.
