  1. At what price did you replaced and where?
  2. I replaced TB and Water pump successfully with great help from this forum. The enign runs smoothly. But when I drive, the engine seems like missing a few firing at a time, especially when gas pedal is released to slow down. It feels terrible when it does. Going thru a series of bumpers. The check engin ligth is on all the time. What I have done: -Diag code = 13. -checked the resistance of cam posistion sensors and speed sensor. They are 1280, 1300 and 1130 ohms. The info says 950 to 1250. -The location of the speed sensor looks good. The sensor plate's 12 teeth look good. -The cam position sensor locations ? I have not checked yet. Does any one have any insight for this problem? Any guessing answers will be helpful.
  3. Thanks for short and clear information. I found it and read the code right away. The code read 13 = RPM SENSOR. That will be my next task to find out. I hope I just misplaced when I was put parts back. The engine shudders often during cruise. Hesitates when gear chaging from Rear to Drive. I hope any one can save my hassle. Many thanks to all.
  4. Do you mean the obd1 diagnostic plug? Its under the hood, on top, right side of engine on my '90 LS. There is a good link somewhere on this site for reading the codes. Search "check engine light", and maybe you'll find it. ← Thank you for your quick advice. I tried 'under the hood, on top, right side of engine(passenger side)' but under a plastice cover were two connectors, one was speed control agitator, and the other was round shape connector. Another huge bundle of wires wrapped in rubber cover were running thru the firewall to the glove compartment side. I checked underneath of the glove compartment and there were half a dozen connectors. How do you tell if a connector is the ODD1 diagnostic plug. I only saw a one dimensional drawing on this site. Please help.
  5. Hi Members, My Car: The Greates Car in history: LS400 91. With great help from this forum, I managed to replace TB & Water Pump a week ago. Everything else running OK excpet two. 1. Airbag light is on all the time. 2. Engin Check light is on all the time. Can any one tell me where the Airbag sensor is located? Somewhere around the radiator? And location of DLC1. Some info only indicated it is under the left hand side of the instrument panel, but I failed to locate it with my upper body squeezed into the narrow space. Many Thanks to all...
  6. I just finished the job of which you speak. My timing belt had just over 90k on it. But the motivation to change it was the weeping waterpump. I had to add coolant about once a week. The belt looked like it could go another 90k. Likewise with the Idler/tensioner rollers. IMHO, you should leisurely shop on Ebay for the parts you will likely replace: Belt, Idler roller, tensioner roller, waterpump, distributor caps/rotors. I spent about $200 for all of the above. Then wait for the waterpump to leak. If you just can't wait, then dive in when you have the time. I did mine over three days, about 4 hours per day. Caution! There are some glaring omissions in the tutorials on this site. Nothing a decent do-it-yourselfer can't figure out, but it will slow you down occasionally. If I had the time, and a camera I didn't care about, I would do a followup tutorial. ←
