Softserve

So I have put a new battery and a new alt in today, my battery light still on. Took it in to get tested alt was at 11.6v on car, took it off got it bench tested and it passed three times in a row! So I checked my grounds and all are good... no problems with wiring harness and all fuses are good! What could've my issue??? I have a 98 ls400 ucf20
