  1. Roll out Just purchased Turaza LSV 215/60/R16 94V for my 99 GS300 at Costco. They were $122 each and with remounting, balancing, valve stems plus replacement proration on damaged tires. Total was W/ tax... $574.00. Reviews were in the 8.8 range. With only 20 miles on tires no feel yet for comparison Turanza ER30 summer tires which were OEM. here is the review web site.... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresult...y.jsp?type=GTAS
  2. Thombiz You wanted to know what kind of tires I decided to get for my 1999 GS300. After reading thousands of reviews plus the (professional tests) I was getting goofy and still hadn't made up my mind. At last I decided to buy the same OE's Turanzo Er 30 at costco. To my surprise they do not have them on their list. The next day I called another Costco to see if that was true and yes it was. I ask for a recomendation in a v rated tire, he asked what type of driver I was (average) and suggested I try all seasonal high performance V rated BF Goodrich TA something or Turanza LSV. He said he had a set of Turanza's that a guy ordered and hadn't come backed. He said if I wanted them he would call the guy and see if he was interested, he wasn't so I went back on the Tire Rack to read the reviews on the Turanza's and found very positive reviews so I bought them. Total cost was $574.00 including road hazard. Tires alone were $121.00 each and are good for 50,000 miles. All future rotation and balancing is free at costco. I only have about 20 miles on them but can feel the difference from the ER30 summer tires, they feel more like touring tires. They seem to be quiet but it's too early to really know if I will like them as I did the ER30's. At 3,000 I will post my feelings but for now I feel safe with a set of new tires.
  3. Guru Member Thanks for the info. Busy taking care of "honey do's" right now but will follow your suggestions and see if that will get the job done. again thanks
  4. Guru Member Tire size is P215/60/16 V I have the OE Turanza ER30 with 37K miles and they appeared to be good but I'm not a spirited driver. However the reviews for the Turanza's are not too good, so I'm puzzled as to what tires to buy. Reading reviews is like listening to my kids in the seventy's telling what happened to the family car they smashed up, too many different stories.
  5. Sorry TurboGS300, trying to feel my in this forum. You say "look for sweet teas post titled "before inspection". I reviewed the 4 pages of the forum and found nothing, Where do I look/ Thanks
  6. At 37,000 miles on my Turanzo ER30 tires, the time has come for replacement. I have read reviews of the different brands that are similar to OEM and I'm still confused. I did try to order Kumho ESCTA KH11 summer tires but they continue to be out of stock. I'm a senior with average driving habits, meaning I go with the flow on inter-state highways, toll roads etc. I live in Florida and have no need for an all season tire but if it's a good performance tire and would compliment the handling ability of my GS300 so much the better. I don't need a top of the line 2 or 3 hundred dollar tire but somewhere in the middle that will give me about 40,000 miles wear and be similar or better than the Turanzo ER30's. I know there are knowledgeable members on this forum that can give me good advice. Thanks Bigapopka
