In the traditional needle, 18 SMD's were used to light the needle. they ran all the way up the inside face of the needle and pointed directly into the face. This made for a needle that was very brilliant, but unfortunately the needle was made completely of plastic. Over time the severe heat dries the plastic out and it becomes brittle. This process starts to seperate the needle inside and the end result is a flickering or dead needle. So your options are to find or buy a new needle [ which results in the same problem that you have experienced ] or have the old diodes replaced with LED'S which will last at least 10 years.
The problem sounds like it is in the instrument cluster itself , The three connectors behind the cluster do not usually come loose [ they are a b..ch to get out ] it is probably the guage itself . Is the needle still firing ? B)
Lucky you !!!!!!!!!! :o did you buy a three pak ? Sounds like you were in the wrong place at the right time , any slower or faster you might not have written the reply or one of different content , GLAD YOU WROTE THE REPLY THAT YOU DID.
You all know it is in fun , Caddy is not my preference though [ obviously ] I came across this topic and had to laugh , The new caddy styling in my opinion is not for road cars maybe spaceships ? with poor interiors ,ONE WAY TO THE STARS ? NOT 11
http://www.lexus-parts.com/partlist.asp?Su...yID=9&ModelID=5 may be of help. ;) And for the touch up ask your local lexus dealer where they send there cars to be touched up and deal with the paint shop directly . Best of luck and you maybe should consider a 2 piece bra for that beautiful auto.
www.colgancustom.com Has really nice bras for your es330 , They also carry mirror bras . I have both the mirror bras and the 2 piece front grille bra on my 98 GS300 and am quite satisfied B)
I should have stated using compressed air from one of those cans that you use for dusting the keyboard and such , not from a compressor . SORRY :chairshot:
