The jack stand points are generally indicated with an illustration in the trunk of the car or in the owners handbook. :) ← Jackpoints are usually behind the front wheel wells and on the rear they are usually towards the front of the rear wheel wells. Look under the car and you will most likely see the points on the frame rail [ they are cut out ] So when the jack is in place it is seated. B)
  3. Guy, Did you get the shim kits for the pads ? And why are you replacing the calipers? Upgrade ?
  4. Have you checked ALL of the fuses ? Look for a loose wire connector ? Have you searched these forums thouroughly ?

  11. I recently changed the tranny filter in my '90 LS, and used the Type T. I had put in dextron III before, and had some funny-feeling shudders, poor shifting. Toyota parts guy said Type IV is for newer transmissions, and the T was what I should use. Owners manual said type II. Anyway, the shudder is gone, and shifts feel great! ← Tranny filter ? I am under the impression that there is a screen...............

  14. Does the Hu power up ? Check the amp and see if it has signs of being wet. I think the amp is blown.

  17. So you've done a retro of the newer nav into a 98-00 car? Interesting? Did you need custom wiring or are the OEM ones sufficient? ← Custom, And you can play dvd's [ with the 6 disc dvd player ] while you are driving. Nice !!!

B) B) Thanks for the battery info, I am going out of town and I wanted to change both batteries. ;) This is actually a hobby of mine. When I can help out fellow members with the same help that I receive is gratification enough. But everything costs $$$.

  21. I feel your pain when it comes to the cd changer. Lexus will swear up and down that the car is prewired - NOT. I have custom made wire harness for the factory changer and I also have the changers with cd magazines. EM or PM me for details. ← ← Check your mail. B)

The dealer wants over $10,000 and they won't install , they will want to sell you a GS that has nav already. If interested pm or em me for details. ← Oh yeah, What year is the GS 430 ? ← In fact I have a 98-00 nav and a 01+ nav and can retrofit the 01 into a 98-00. Interesting ??? B)
