  1. well not quite. i don't know about other states, but small towns here in california where people just drop by to buy gas and eat, prices are around $3.00 a gallon AT LEAST for Unleaded only. i think at that one stop we made, it was $3.15 for unleaded, $3.25 for Unleaded plus, and $3.35 for premium. ← I just filled up at a Shell station and paid $2.29 for 92 octane :cries:
  2. I beleive your lasar tracking is out of alignment. ;)
  3. OK, After 1 day with the tranny cooler installed I can definetly feel a smoother shift [ I thought it couldn't get any smoother ] I am happy with the results. I will be taking a 1000 mile round trip next week. I will be watching the gas milage with my recent intake mod and will post the results. B)
  4. Congrats on the new ride, You'll love every minute of it and look for excuses to drive it. LOL And don't forget to post pix.
  5. bicol-ini in the LS forums inspired me to install a transmission cooler on my GS3, Package arrived yesterday and I installed the cooler today, While I was in there I installed a filter also. The install took about a hour it was a simple install. Here are some pix. Thanx bicol-ini for the inspiration. B)
  6. Can't tell at this time , When I change out the lower mounts I will give an answer. Thanx Again.
  7. I can switch out the first gen nav and retrofit a 2nd gen nav into your car . This is a full system swap with custom wiring harness and if you want I have the 6 disc dvd player so you can watch your favorite dvd's. To answer your question no you can not switch the screens.
  8. Thanx, The washer is in. B)
  9. Thanx for the help, I will replace the mounts next week.
  10. Your saying to put a hydraulic jack under the oilpan with a piece of wood between the jack and the pan ? Is this done with the car on jackstands? Thanx for the help.
  11. Want to know what is the best/easiest way to replace the motor mounts on my 93 es300 [ lower not the dogbone ] in my driveway. Any tricks or prefered methods? Any special tools ? Thanx in advance.
  12. Hello. I have a 1998 ES300 and I can confidently share with you that there is no security code necessary. I recently purchased a new battery for the car. It sat in the garage for a whole day without the battery. My worse nightmare was that I may need that mysterious CODE. No worries!!! You don't need it. Once I installed the new battery, the only thing I had to reset are my favorite radio stations and the clock. The concensus around i here is that the early model, before 1997 and 98, only needed that security code. There you have it. I hope this helps your mind at ease and for the others that may have this type of inquiry.. Cheers ← It has been said on these forums that the code is the last 3 digits of your vin #. ;)
  13. Nice choice, You will enjoy those tires for a long time. ;)
  14. Careful! the dogbone mount was likely chewed up because the front liquid filled mount is bad. My guess is you will be replacing the dogbone in about 6 months plus the front liquid mount. The dogbone is just easy to spot because when the liquid mount goes, the dogbone takes all the abuse and it is easy to see on top of the engine. Andy ← Yes, I know I will be replacing the lower mounts soon, 1-2 weeks.
  15. The other mods are strut tower bar , Optima battery and a little dressing for looks. Other than that it is stock. I'll probably put a lip style spoiler on the backside next then SS brakelines and I'll take it from there. B)
  16. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ssPageName=WDVW Is where you can get everything you need to do the mod. All you have to do is cut this piece off of the airfilter box [ see pix attached ] and cut down the 3" tube , The silicone and rubber mounts come with the kit all you do is tear that air filter apart and use the rubber seal that connects to the tube and epoxy it to the cutoff and your ready to install. Good Luck and enjoy. B) Here is a link that has a couple of days on it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ssPageName=WDVW
  17. You can look up your paint code here. http://www.paintscratch.com/ B)
  18. Very sharp, It is the best feeling when your car is clean. Nice job. ;)
  19. Too much wouldn't hurt , And you could still cruise around without the vinyl bra and maintain some protection. Now that I think about it I might have a clear bra installed. ;)
  20. I replaced the dogbone mount on my 93 ES300, It was worse than I had thought I am glad I changed it. The idle is smoother and it feels new again. I checked the motor mounts and they seem fine for now but I will change them out in the near future. Here are pix of the old mount.
  21. I can take or leave the looks of the bra myself but I do enjoy the protection and I run without it once in a while. B)
  22. Well when it comes to the look of the vinyl bras I could take it or leave it. The protection is much better than a clear bra. Maybe one should have the clear bra under the vinyl bra so when you take the vinyl one off after a road trip you still have some protection. ;)
  23. Here she is all cleaned up and ready to roll. B)
  24. Will be waiting for more pix, What does your project consist of ? Details please. B)
  25. The desert is Rock and sand and windy, The roads are full of the stuff. But it is one of my favorite places.
