Billy, I have been using a tranny filter just like that for years, You have to replace them annually as they do collect debris. Easy install and easy changeout :) Mine is 3/8" not 1/2" check your lines, I believe the LS is 3/8" also.
Did you have the jumper cables reversed ? Why would you jump without a diagnoses, Could have been something simple. Now after the smoking jump fiasco who knows what's fried...Sell it as is before you really mess up a Great car if that hasen't been done already. Oh and by the way...You should have asked for help before you tried to jump.
Fix the oil leak first, Then find the damaged area and find the extent of the damage if there is any, You are not going to replace the main wiring harness in any lexus unless you tear down the entire car. Replace the radio with a properly operating replacement oem radio. Good Luck...
Great car you have there Welcome to the Club B) Have a Lexus Dealer run the VIN and make sure all of the recalls etc... have been done. Then go from there. When replacing parts, Plugs, Brake pads etc... Please use only Genuine OEM Toyota parts. It just saves so many headaches...
