  1. Hey Fellas, long time no see... I have a 92 SC400, and it's leaking coolant from somewhere, I'm not sure where exactly. Basically, it can't keep any coolant in the system, it leaks almost instantly if I try to refill it. Right now, it's bone dry. I went away for a month and every drop of coolant left a trail down to the garage drain. Does any one have any ideas as to what I should be looking to replace/fix/etc... any help is very appreciated. All the best - falxwon
  2. Hey gang, it all worked out. I jumped Black Betty and she started right up. Hey VincyRay, could you pass along that info about that place? You can email it to me at falxwon@gmail.com - I'd appreciate it bro! Thanks! The stereo - well, there's no code in the manual. I guess I might have to go with the dealership or a specialty shop.
  3. Got it, I'll do that in the morning guys. I'll let you know how this all works out. By the way, with all this in mind - would anyone know what to do about the stereo/cd? The lights on the face of the factory player are just blinking, it's not playing at all. When I changed the battery it nullified the stereo/cd player. Is there a code to reactivate it? Thanks again guys, falxwon
  4. NAH- that battery is completely fresh, like two weeks old. How would that be possible? I swear, all the lights, windows and all the other goodies work. Just a question: If the alarm cut the starter (as it says in the manual) would it still make that ticking/clicking sound every time I crank?
  5. I recently bought a '92 sc400, just got a new trans and fixed the driver's side door and I then I discovered that there is a factory alarm. Well, I opened the lexus manual and followed the instructions in the book and then I completely blew it. I had to have blown it. I went to start my car and the starter went 'cliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicccck' - I have no idea how to stop the kill switch from doing this - can ANYONE please help me???? Not to mention that the CD/Stereo was already deactivated from a new battery, I just can't win. I'll never be able to drive my car at the rate I am going. Please help, I'm totally clueless. Thanks - falxwon
  6. Do you guys have any clues where I can find the driver's side interior window trim for a 1992 sc400? Mine is b-u-s-t-e-d. I bought a door panel, but it didn't come with upper trim! Thanks! falxwon
  7. thanks guys, my mechanic scared me with the speech about 'same numbers, different guts', telling me that the electronics may be totally different. But you guys are on point! Do you guys have any clues where I can find the driver's side interior window trim? Mine is b-u-s-t-e-d. I bought a door panel, but it didn't come with upper trim! Thanks! falxwon
  8. I have a 1992 sc400 that was driving fine and one day it wouldn't go into reverse. I saw a lot of trans fluid under the car. I accquired a 1997 transmission from a wrecked sc400 after seeing that the part number is the same through 92-97. My very serious question is this: Is the 97 trans backward compatible to put into a 1992? I would greatly appreciate any help or advice before I invest in something so very delicate. All the best! - Falxwon
