I bought a mast on ebay for 15 or 20 bucks and was not satisfied . It was shorter than OEM and didn't adjust to am and fm properly am is taller setting about 6 or 7 inches. So I returned and bought a OEM mast from Irontoad.com for about 42 bucks . Works fine and It only took a few min. to install

I looked up the no. for sylvania silverstars at fleetfarm in the sylvania bulb finder and it said I need 4003 ST . It has three prongs I see that others on this forum are using 4004. Does anybody know which no. for sure for my 94 LS?

Last night I tried to miss but clipped a deer moving into my lane on the interstate. my wife was sleeping when she awoke to a big thump on her side of the car. When she looked at me fighting to regain control of the car fishtailing at 70MPH she thought this was the end. A couple of seconds later we were under control and I was telling her we just hit a deer. I am glad that we had just stopped to top off the gas tank and that we had put all the luggage into the trunk . That extra weight in the back helped I think to regain control. Earlier in the day I notice low pressure in one of the tires and checked them all I firmed them all up with proper pressure . I am glad for that also. Now I now why they say not to swerve away from deer during high speed just take the hit and stay in control . The LS performed Quite well . Does anybody know how to replace rearview mirror on my 94 LS? other than that and a broken marker light assy. and a some slight wrinkles in the side of the door the LS took the hit pretty well. I am most thankfull that my wife an I are OK.

I thank you and others that have replied to my post . But I would still like a answer to my original question .... Can I mix the two ???? or should I flush??

I'm Sorry again my original post was confusing. I was addressing the P.S. - (power steering fluid)VS ATF Dexron (Auotomatic Transmission Fluid) For the powersteering resevoir. I Was in a hurry that night ...... thanks every body for bearing with me.

Sorry that I had a confusing post there I meant to say PS fluid /Dexron in the powersteering .

I have heard that the Dexron ATF that comes in powersteering from the factory is clear in color. I checked and it is clear in color (like ps fluid) .I suspected that one of the lexus dealers that mantained my car before I bought it replaced fluid with ps fluid seeing that one had rebuilt ( changed the rubber rings) on my pump. So I called and they told me that they indeed do use power steering fluid when replacing fluid ! So I thought I would check other dealers . I called six different Lexus dealers and half said use PS and the other half said dexron atf (as in manual) I could hardly believe my ears. The fluid in pump is a little low and I don't know what to top it off with. I don't think mixing the two fluids in a very good idea. I guess I will have to flush and replace with dexron atf to make sure.

I bought the car with 125,000 on it . called dealers that had mantinance on car one uses ps. fluid and the other uses tranny(dexron) Like in manual I would like to top up but I hear that tranny fluid installed from manufacture is a clear color . I have no Idea what I have in. can I mix or do I have to flush and fill with dexron I now have 150,000 on

I'm not sure but it seems as if everybody is confusing oxygenated gas with unoxygenated gas. I asked if unoxygenated gas was safe for my car because that is the gas that at the pump says boats,collectables, small engines, etc. ONLY could someone please clarify? sorry for the misunderstanding

Is oxygenated fuel another name for ethenol ? All unleaded gas has ethenol does'nt it? Is the only reason why they have stated on the pump collectable ,boat,small engines ONLY Is so everybody won't use unoxygenated gas and thus increase emissions? Emissions aside , is unoxygenated the best fuel for my 94 LS 400 performance ? Will it hurt my LS ?

Can I use unoxygenated premium gas. On the gas pump it says for collectable cars ,boats , small engines, only ? Octane is 92

I cant seem to get a definitive answer on this one . Manual says Dex. Tran. Fluid . Mechanics at lexus dealerships most often use power steering fluid .

I would try taking the pulley to a local machine shop and see if they can match and then press a new bearing in other wise go to irontoad.com .Part# 16603-0W010. $51.83

The bearing can easily be replaced by itself for a bucks. No need to replace the entire assembly. :) ← Bought a new tensioner pulley for 50 bucks + surpentine belt 30 bucks from irontoad installed both in 20 min. problem solved . I wish now I would of brought the pulley into local machine shop and had a new berring pressed in. oh well less than a hundred bucks and it runs quiet and smooth right from start up. Thanks everybody!

Winter tires probably have more rolling resistance than summer tires. Warming your car up in the winter takes longer especially when you want the cars interior toasty warm. autostart+10min. warm up . burning gas going nowhere is bound to drop mpg.

<_< You might want to try spraying silicone spray on the antiroll bar bushing I had some clunking up front over bumps and that did the trick for me ← Wheres the antiroll bar busing? Where do I spray i might try this too ← there in about a foot from the inside of the front wheels . antiroll bar and swaybar are the same thing. It's easier to get at if you take the wheels off first . then just spray around the rubber bushing . on top if you can so that gravity can work it in through the small gaps on top of the bushing. This is just a temperary fix that should last months . If this is the problem you have you will probably need to replace bushings in the future.

My water pump was replaced with 90K maintenance . I bought the car with 125K and it did it then too. From what Ive heard waterpumps last a while longer than that and if they make noise they would go out soon . My car now has 140K and the water- pump is still not leaking and seems to be working fine. Does anybody know the serpentine belt replacement intervals?

My 94 LS 400 makes a intermitent grinding noise from the front of the engine when the temp outside is below 35 degrees untill the car is fully warmed up. Has anybody else run into this? I scoped out the noise and it seems like its coming from the tensioner pulley assembly can I replace the bearings or do I have to replace the entire assembly? could it be something else?
