Good info there UCF3. scl789: for time and cost purposes, it may be easier for you to source your parts from those more local areas that are mentioned. I replied to the PM but these yards and parts places may be able to do better for you. :)
Well now......
They did do a great job with both vehicles and even though we did not get the turbo, we have options. So all is well that ends well. At least we got a shot to begin with. Sometimes those cars never make it here. Read - Skyline? There is always hope though.
What are you putting this in? If you are going to swap a motor, get the USDM 2JZ-GTE 1997 or older IMO. 98 is vvt-i and more tricky. Anything over 95 is obd II - that means tricky too. If you have a 2JZ-GE you can turbo it and go crazy in the process and beat up on almost anything if done right. Basically the same thing. I have no idea what those other codes are. The USDM long and short 2JZ's are the best options.
Yea - we all have those struts. I'd take a picture but that is out of the question for now. :( Check some of the parts sites and ebay and all that good stuff for oem replacement struts. I saw them sell for 25$ and some change or something like that somewhere. I'll check up on that.
There are a lot of companies that do this. Weapon R has one as well as SRT - both have decent reviews.

See the faq also for more links. I believe sound performance in Chicago can help also.
ECU's:

WR-ECU
Search lexus upgrade ecu's on google. Amazing.
UCF3 has a good one too. If you live in a emissions state, just make sure it will pass smog checks or whatever. Good thing I don't need to worry about it.
I am in agreement. It seems you want to know how many control the engine and tranny alone? That should be one for both. Under the passenger side carpet. A factory service manual will tell you definitely. There is also an ecu for the fuel pump.
I love it when the teeny boppers around here get out of there car to see who beat them and the old lady is driving. They look like they want to cry sometimes. B)
another link to specs
I have a couple 6'3 and taller friends that fit just fine. But they are of slim build. I had a big build 300lb coworker at 6'4 and he was uncomfortable. But he complains about everything so, I'm not sure if it really was that bad. Only one way to know. Go sit in one my friend. Take it for a spin too. You'll want it.
It is always a great idea to cool the intake charge as much as possible. So yes, a good front mount intercooler to replace the sidemount would be the right direction. You can sell your old side mount to DSM and honda guys - I've seen neons running them also. Your stock seat belts will do fine unless you are running a track where you need 5pts as a rule or turning sub 12 second passes on a regulated track. I've found the stock brakes and seatbelts to be more than adequate at 350hp. Though I do have upgraded calipers and rotors waiting for a sunny day to go on there. The suspension is a good idea, but baby steps. Again, the stock suspension is doing just fine. Though I would like a set of TEIN coilovers. A boost controller makes it easy to adjust boost. The suspension is a good idea, but baby steps. Again, the stock suspension is doing just fine. Though I would like a set of TEIN coilovers. Electronic are nice for in cab on the fly adjustment. Mechanical are cheaper and do the same. But most involve doing it from the engine bay. Good luck. Keep us posted.
I have a fan shroud and fan from a 93 that will work for you. Also a stock airbox, maf, cone intake, and adapter. Also, two tan lower dash pieces. It will be difficult for me to get a hold of them due to my current location and the actual location of the parts. But PM me and tell me what they are worth to you and we can figure something out. ;)

AJ
Thanks Matt. I'm no expert, but trying hard. The model is one true passion of mine. Timeless and amazing feat of engineering.
LexusSC400owner - thousand welcomes. Feel free to ask anything. Check out some links and make noise. Great car you got there. ;)
Enjoy.

It is grounding - or bad grounding, corroded connections most likely. I had a bad ground on a cigarette lighter that caused problems in the last SC. Fixed it and no more - it had some aftermarket electronics though. Right - Microbyte ;) .
Good to see you made it. You have a PM.
Check the battery and alternator for correct charge, output, and connections. Then the spark plugs, cables, and distributors. Then the fuel filter, fuel pump, and fuel ecu. The cause is in one or more of those items, most likely.
Check for a 10mm bolt somewhere. They can be sneaky about that stuff. Use best judgement, but sometimes it just takes a little bit of force. Don't break it though. Of course, that is how we learn most of the time - so don't be afraid to tear into it either.
Sorry my man - I'll do some digging though. You may want to consult with a mechanic. My inline six is giving warning signs from the water pump, power steering, and transmission. This may not be a good situation for me :( . But I'll fix it. The tranny will have to go to a specialist because I am not gonna even try it in the garage at this point. Not enough tools - or strength for that. But I'll hit up the water pump and power steering. Problem is, they are different on mine and yours. And my fan is just fine. My fan is attatched to the water pump - saw that this weekend. I've got some pics somewhere.
I'll see if I can dig up some info.
Just playin Z...
I do read too fast sometimes. I'll drop it now.
Call it nervous habit, insanity, .....whatever.
*shrugs* Maybe a bit too much - slow weekend.
Pretty crazy eh Matt - more like music.
It is as balanced as the typical automotive journalist gets. Interesting comparison of Japanese offerings to Australia at a point when that must have been new and chic.
Matt, I need to talk to you.
