  1. Either there were too many users or we had some unscheduled maintenance eh? It's hard making this place look so good I'd imagine. :D
  2. Not sure mate. Check out our audio/video forum and you may find some info there. Good luck.
  3. Welcome to the site. I'm sure some of our SC430 owners will reply soon. What suspension and tire set are you referring to though? I know that others have reported a great improvement after fitting traditional radials in place of the run flats. Enjoy!
  4. 600.00$ at the dealership in Cincinnati. A tune-up really should be done every 60,000 miles to ensure the million mile run of your lexus. I change plugs every year on any vehicle.
  5. Try another Lexus Dealer. Sounds like yours is defunct. I'm sure a 17" wheel with the correct offset and lug/hub specs will work. Consult with a good wheel shop. Good luck.
  6. There is an abs insert offered by www.importtoys.com . Tell Em I sent ya. ;) As far as brakets, no there are none. You can re-use the stock internal frame with some creativity and a drill - or a few screws. Good luck.
  7. Not necessarily. I would highly recommend getting the factory service manuals. Checking all major specifications for motor integrity. Mainly compression testing and leakdown if equipped or have the know how. This will indicate areas to repair before boosting. If all checks well, then you are good to go. Many people have turboed at that mileage without incident. There is an individual I know of that went turbo at over 100,000 miles and has gone 40,000 miles hard with only a head rebuild for more performance and a valve stem leak/valve seating issue due to carbon deposits. He stated that the bottom end looked immaculate and the factory hone marks could still be seen. Research and testing/knowledge and abiltiy, is the key to success.
  8. You can specify the turbo options. They typically come with a T04e-60 with buyer specified a/r's and trim. Good turbo.
  9. Shouldn't be. But I have not yet lowered an SC. The kyb are only damper adjustable not ride height adjustable. If that is what is desired, then more expensive coil overs or air ride is needed. The best way to improve body roll is to get new sway bars and bushings. I think I will do this before changing the suspension depending on how the car looks with the new wheels.
  10. I don't think anyone has done this in the states. The cost is far more than any benefit. The easiest way to be boosting is to turbo the GE motor.
  11. Our SC's soarers in the xZZ3x chasis codes did not have the nav/video screen stateside. :( Of course, I've heard they are very troublesome. Check the faq for a link to the Peter Scott page. They have done work with it in the past.
  12. Meddle, the kyb agx and eibach combo have been well received. They can be bought for the sc or supra. But the springs and struts must be both a set for one or the other, not mixed. I'm not sure on the widest tire available for the SC. I just picked up a set of 8.5 and 10. I think anything over 10.5 may start causing a problem. There is a method to measure from the hub mounting surface forward to the leading edge of the wheel well and then back to the first component surface of the suspension (like a strut) with a pendulum and tape measure. I can try to get that scanned in. Still very buisy lately. Heavier/larger wheels will be harder on brakes wich is something to keep in mind.
  13. I may have had the swith thing confused with another car. Now that I think of it, the SC does not have a switch for the keyless entry. I don't see one on the current car. I apologize. Let us know of any solutions.
  14. I usually try to do it every 15,000 miles or every year - depending.
  15. B) Welcome. The tranny should last a long long time if it is taken care of well.
  16. Sure - but after doing a little digging it seems that the combo possibly holds a higher compression. The only reason I can think of to build this motor in the states is to have something that hardly no one else would have. It would be for show purposes or eccentricity.
  17. 8.5 to 1 I think but I might be wrong again. Yea, 1jz mannifolds with that head. Not many advantages. They do it in JDM markets because an owner can increase displacement and keep all the top side modifications and computer. It is a cheaper way to increase displacement. So they take the 2jz block. For us it's a different story. I would not say it is any easier. I'd expect it to be more difficult. www.supraforums.com look in the mk3 forum and do a search. I'll see what I can find.
  18. I have two sets of those wheels. One set may be coming up for sale soon. But they have curb rash and random marks on them. I was going to have them recoated. Keep an eye in the for sale section. Maybe as soon as next week, I will have a set ready - but don't hold your breath. The link on my signature down below where it says vote for me will take you to my page.
  19. The current vehicle has a toyomoto set-up on it consisting of a t3/t4 hybrid internally gated and all the necessary equipment producing 350hp and 368ft.lbs. on a "conservative" boost setting. Click on my link below for more info and I posted an engine pick in the antifreexe thread even though the car with the question is a 400 (don't ask). The install is real sleeper style. Most people don't even know what they are looking at when they see it. B) With the boost set at 10 or so psi., I lose stopping power. With the boost above 15 psi., I lose safety period. I just started tearing into the car last night for some electrical items install and I'm doing the brakes once my stainless steel lines arrive - probably next week. I will have pictures and document all the work. Wait till you guys see the torn up interior. It is scary.
  20. D'oh. It's SC400 not a 300. What the? I'm losing my mind here. Look for leaks on the system everywhere and keep a check on the ground where parked and stuff. I just wanted to show off my motor. ;) Checking to make sure you guys are paying attention. I'll think of a few more excuses later.
  21. Got ya. I need to install my supra brakes soon too. I'm thinking next week. Stockers fade out bad - real bad on this car when driving "enthusiastically".
  22. Hmm. Very well then. They say bonnet in English in England. I don't know why we call it what it is. ;)
  23. The radiator cap is the little shiny piece with the yellow sticker on top in the front driver side just in behind of the bumper. If you are not seeing fluid on the ground or motor anywhere, then it may be getting burned up in the motor indicating a real serious problem. Is the car smoking when it is driven? If not, then check all lines and hardware for leaks. It is possible the fluid was really low and is just getting taken in. That is why the level is dropping out. Just fill it until the level does not drop after driving (when the motor is cold only).
  24. That is a JIc or is it a C's car? I think. Someone will have to verify that. It is in Japan and has a supercharger. They need the big ol hood. Two for oem. Anyone else? ... hmm... or is it the Autocoutre? D'oh
  25. I don't believe it will from what I understand. You will need to have it modified - maybe a couple of jumpers at the least and whole boards or resolder ic's at the worst - or you can use a standalone. And don't forget about lower X members and clearance.
