  1. I honestly don't think it's a problem. If it is, I'm sure a piggy back afc or something would solve the problem.
  2. You can use aftermarket amps and changers while retaining stock components. You just need to find a shop that will do it or figure it out yourself. Go to a good shop and tell them what you want. If they say impossible, then do not go there for work ever again or buy anything from them.
  3. Congrats my man. Let us know how they turn out for ya.
  4. Pretty much. Any mod for a 1993 "should" work for a 1992. There is some speculation about the mass air situation though. Something about the maf sensor in the 1992 as compared to 93 to 97 models.
  5. DaveH turbo
  6. They should fit Darren.
  7. You've got to be leaking somewhere. Unless it wasn't filled up completely. How's the drain plug gasket looking? It could play tricks I suppose. You'd definitely know if it you were burning it though.
  8. There was a certain red and white two tone SC runnin around a couple years ago or so.
  9. Hmm. We chew backer out here.
  10. Not a bad lookin dizm there. What kind of time and trap? The SC300 is an excellent choice. They don't break quite as much as them tri stars but it will co$t to make one as fast as those gsx's can be. Not that anything is really cheap anymore. LOL @ the grinch. Welcome to USLOC.
  11. I'm planning to have an event in Daytona for the week of Spring Break Nationals. March 26-28 - 2004. Lets get this on.
  12. All right folks - it's time to do something for real. Perhaps we can make this the first "official" USLOC meeting. I'm thinking Tuner Bash 2004. Supposedly the event is ocurring in two locations. One is 600 North - Daytona Beach in May. The other is Panama City Beach. I am going. I figure this could be a good opportunity for us to meet, get some exposure, have some fun in the sun, and just plain show off. So we need to get details. First - what location is more desireable? Daytona or Panama City? Would a rally type arrival be desirable? Departure in Cincinccati - ? Post up. Minimum ten registered people. I'm working on package deals now. If anyone has any input or potential contacts/information - please feel free to contribute. Thanks, AJ Edit: My bad - looks like tuner bash occurs during another previous obligation I have. How about Spring Break Nationals in Daytona? This is a winner here. Or you guys can do tuner bash - I'll have to sit out this year though. I will also be in Gatlinburg, TN a couple times this summer. spring break nationals
  13. Oh dark blue. I thought you were talking about rsp. There are more of those than rsp's. I forget the name though. Here's one from the gallery.
  14. best example I could findroyal sapphire pearl was available in 1997. awesome blue.
  15. I tried to find the part number for the contacts back when I had a problem with the starter. I found a part number and ordered it. They turned out to be just the poles as the actual contact points are a different part. No good. What I wound up doing was just to remove the bad starter - took it to a alternator/starter/electrical motor repair shop and had them do an overhaul on it. Wound up costing me 15$ and they gave me a lifetime limited warranty on their work. Pretty killer deal that I don't think can be found just anywhere but it is a good option. Problem is, on your V8, the damn starter is stuck under the intake manifold, so removing it - will be no walk in the park. I don't know of any special rebuild kit - not they do not exist (especially as much as they wear out) but you can try contacting various dealers who will tell you that you need a new starter to the tune of 800$ or so.
  16. It is probably the contacts in the starter solenoid starting to go out. Eventually, the car will not start at all until the starter is rebuilt (solenoid) or replaced.
  17. You may have to buy the whole door if your looking for a cheaper way out. I'm sure the dealer can get it, but it will co$t and you will probably have to wait. Try taprecycling.com. Good luck.
  18. There are a few SC's with that set-up runnin' round. I'd recommend a mkiv fuel pump, at least two auxillary injectors in the intake with a boost dependant cotnroller as a minimum for lower boosting.
  19. Heat sheilds contracting. Perfectly normal. You can take them off if you want.
  20. Mine are 35% - standard southern regulations I think. Merry christmas by the way. Just got back. Sick as a dog. Damn flue.
  21. The ARC radiator fits right in a looks like a work of art but it is 1,500$. You could probably get a new fluidyne for 400$. Expensive is a matter of perspective I think. If anyone can find me a ARC radiator for 800$ total - I'll buy it.
  22. The SC will never be the next civic. Mainly because there aren't enough of them. Also because it doen't compare. They are getting cheap enough that some real punks have started rolling in them - but they are fairly few and most don't realize the potential. The SC is a great car but to deal in them specifically would probably be a losing venture. To market cars to this specific website would require authorization. Anyone can guide members to make a good choice or even assist getting a car, but to profit from that would require cleared advertising as far as the USLOC is concerned.
  23. It is crucial. I don't know of anywhere on line to get those other than here. There might be a link somewhere, but I don't have it. I'll try to check the manual tonight and post them up.
  24. I might try to get a copy of that issue. These magazines have sick connections though, all through advertising. One would be hard pressed I think to duplicate that - but wait till you guys see what I've got up my sleeve. I don't want to spoil anything by spilling the beans too soon, but oh man......
  25. Welcome to the joy of owning a truely timeless classic.
