  1. Sorry don't have any advice only sympathy. I have same problem on 2000 GS400 minus the speed stability problem. I anxiously await any suggestions also. - I have had numerous balancing including road force.
  2. acceleration problem I'm having same problem - gs400 2000. Please post what the dealer concluded. Thanks. My previous post was ridiculed.
  3. Gimme a break. There's a minimum 2 gallons in the tank when this occurs.
  4. This problem is a new one - last two times I let it get low on fuel. It occurs about 10 miles after the empty light lights. It has never occured in years past. It has recent water pump, timing belt relacement. Dealer says bring it in when it is happening but I don't want to chance not arriving or further damage. Any suggestions are appreciated.
  5. 2000 GS400, 101,000 miles with maintenance up to date. This problem goes away with gas fill up. What does this symptom indicate? I appreciate any advice.
  6. I put 80,000 wonderful miles on my Michelin MXV4+ and am on the next set. IMO there is no better match for an LS400. And truly economical in the long run.
  7. My 93 LS400 did the same thing. It was the dash needle malfunction. -warning light for near empty never failed. I lived with it along with the no light problem in the cold dash. Lights will giva a blinking show and come on when car is warm. If you haven't experienced this yet its just a matter of time I understand.
  8. Hey Racechris we're neighbors. I have a 2000 GS400 platinum milennium edition with navi at 96,000 miles. I had a frozen caliper once. Other than that no problems and it still has an amazing very fun amount of zip.
  9. Congrats. I have the same car at 201,000 miles. No surprise fixes yet! It drives nicer than all the new cars except its current version. Be sure your cd is not put in incorrectly. Correct side face is upside down on this changer. I make that mistake constantly and get that err. I've never serviced the cd or changer. I bet thats all it is and it will sound great.
  10. Simply fill the car with the higher octane and expense the per gallon rate for the lower octane. Do the math on your receipt. If its a company gas card ask accounting to do the math and have them tell you what you owe periodically. You will be following their rules and treating your car correctly - my opinion.
  11. I'm with you all. I have a loaded 93 LS 400 200,000 miles that is as comfortable as a best friend. ... I tend to prefer it over my newer GS400. The two cars are different animals in good ways. The Michelin MXV4 Plus Energy tires and these LS's are a match made in heaven - I agree. I am on my second set and I put 80,000 wonderful riding miles on the previous set.
  12. I recently had exact problem as described with my GS400. It turned out to be a frozen caliper. Everything is fine after replacement.... worth checking out.
