Did they all come with the pin stripe? If so and its not there that would mean one of two things either it was removed or its a new paint job.

Have a rubber pad on the floor jack and in center of the aluminum cross member just behind the oil pan, or the differential unit in the rear. When using the pinch welds under the rocker panel becareful if not used right they can be ruined. You can't just use a normal jack stand on them, I personally would use wood cribbing and 4 pieces of hard wood or plastic with a saw blade groove impression to engage the pinch weld. If someone would post a pic of the correct jack you will see that it is meant to engage the pinch weld and not the area around the pinch weld as that will bend. I can't understand why a high quality car like Lexus would use such stupidity for jack points, they should have studied a Mercedes or even an old VW.

Dexron ? I guess the newer ones use that? For the Gen 1's Dexron is only for the power steering. Toyota type IV is for the transmission.

If done right you should not have any problems. I would just drain from the drain plug, and measure it using an empty oil bottle. And then add the new stuff. Do it at the same time you do engine oil. Its 2 quarts on a Gen 1. Basically you did that a few times sorta when you did the seals. Do it slowly like that and all will be good. Having cleaner and newer additives will make it happier. I would wait a few changes before dropping the pan. I did a pan drop on a high mileage Subaru one time, it was a waste of time, I didn't use the new screen and had to mess with the pan gasket sealant etc. inside it looked new. And I know the dirty fluid had at least 150,000 on it. I now believe in changing the trans fluid at every engine change.

Any idea why the bad bearing? Was it the oil used, racing the car or what? You just don't hear about LS engines doing that sort of thing even with over 300,000 miles on them.

Especially where the cable goes into the connector.

The biggest problem I have seen with pay pal is the scam mailers that say they are from pay pal, I have had many of them saying something about my account. Well I don't have one. O Reillys wants way too much for a Monroe strut. Where is a good place to get and what is the recommended brand? Front struts.

I think the struts he is talking about are the diagonal for and aft support struts for the lower control arm. There are large rubber bushings at the front. With the front wheels off the ground and unloaded if the steering or ball joints are loose you should be able to feel it by trying to move the wheel by hand. Is there slop in the steering wheel itself with tires on the ground? Also since the rear end is also independent type suspension if there is something loose back there it could cause steering and stability issues. So you need to look at all 4 wheels for a problem. Who did the alignment? If there was a problem with anything they should have found it before the alignment.

Your right been there with RTV sealer for pan gaskets. I'm not a fan of that stuff on automatic transmissions either. Also if a person decides to reuse RTV, every thing has to have zero oil film on it. And that is super difficult on an oiled up already in the car transmission. Constant dripping all the time.

I got a new screen and gasket from Oreillys, the gasket is rubber. What are the factory stock ones made of? I am not a fan of rubber gaskets. They usually don't allow the bolts to tighten and hold their torque.

I never saw anything saying where you were at. I thought it was US. Any future LS projects try to plan ahead and order from US.

First thing to rule out is bad gas. Check timing belt. Next verify that there is spark to the spark plugs. When they are out do a compression test. Verify fuel pump is working by checking the fuel pressure. Verify the injectors are getting a signal. Anyone of them not right then you found the problem.

What you have to love is the stores that have a 7 foot wide parking space for a 6.5 foot wide car. If parking spaces were designed right, and all parking areas had cameras, then people that spend thousands for a car wouldn't have to worry about it being ruined.

This is what makes these cars kinda fun, is all the systems and wires. Too bad a bunch of us don't all live in the same area, could we have a great Lexus shop or what.
