  1. Hi I have some issues with my wifes 400h (2006)... I searched some forums and found simillar issues however no precise answer how to solve it So ... When I start my car after some hours of parking esspecially in winter condition (or cold)... when rx switch (on parking -P) from battery to petrol which is obvious when engine is cold , engine shakes .. once during start... it only happenes once , switching off car and next start up.. shake is acceptable (hard to notice) the same when I start from traffic light for example... When I allow car to drive some time on battery (ca 10-20meter) means slightly push throtle pedal .. all seems to be ok .. car switch to petrol nicely , but when I push pedal harder to accelerate faster from stop.. then petrol engine starts earlier and shake is noticable.. even voilent ... any idea what is a typical reason of such a behave of the car? rx400h 220k km on the clock sorry for mistakes.. :-))
  2. Jacking the car seems to be obvious in that case.. Putting car in 2wd service mode or 4wd service mode could be required (check service manual how to do so without lexus diagnostic software) this mode allow you working the engine all the time (not switching to battery) When jacked try to accelerate to get required speed. (deactivating esp could be required too- not sure about it in audi i had to switch off abs cables from each wheel otherwies abs /esp will not rotate wheel whithout ground uder it) You could also check (as a first) optcaly the brake pads and discs- when stuck smth juddering on the car is typical (not only when braking)..
  3. Any idea how to check those engine mounts... one is crearly visible from engine bay , Steping on the brake and accelerating won't work with eCVT transmision probably rgds
  4. Thx i will check it... regarding AT fluid , I have changed it at ca 180 tys km odo... using toyota dedicated at fluid both in gearbox and read diff plus new bolts up to service manual (static change means without any "compresion" machine plus additional level check after some km), since then tranny works great smooth acceleration etc... no leakages ...
  5. Hi I am a owner of rx400h (XII 2005 production) first registration 2006 , Due to the fact that lexus is my wife car I am driving that car from time to time What i noticed that during acceleration (normal ) changing from battery transmision to petrol is not as smooth as was some time ago. The moment when engine starts and take control over transmission seems to be more "brutal" that previosuly Any idea what could be a reason. what need to be verified according to your expierience and knowledge Car is now 190 000 km odo , oils including transmision have been changed up to owners manual timing (and good practice) always dedicated to lexus. thx for any hints
