  1. oh and on a side note.. Turbos, in my experience, work better on autos.. Reason being is that you do not loose your boost at shift points like you would on a manual. Example.. Two equally matched supras same horse power numbers and TQ numbers run in the 1/4 the auto would win almost every time. Reason no boost lost during shifting (unless the manual guy is a mean !Removed! power shifter) and the auto is more consistant on the runs. The manual would start to walk after a bit though do to drive train loss on the auto. Just my .02 from all the cars I have seen run at the tracks.
  2. I know there would be piping issues.. I am aware of the design differences and all the fun stuff but did not know if they had anything out there for it yet. I like the idea of Turbo better because you get more HP and TQ gains for the buck it seems. Yes the Turbos do take time to build boost (mid to hi range) but it seems like turbos help the engines last longer and are not as tough on the internals. I know that SC build the boost fast then kind of level off, if not drop BUT the engines do not seem to last as long when they are SC.. What do you guys think?? I guess I would not mind looking more into the SC for my GS but can some one point me in the right direction? Thanks
  3. what am I looking at to put a single turbo kit in my 98 GS400. I did a search and did not see anything that really related to that. There were some for the GS300 and the IS300 but not the 400. Anyone help me or point me in the right direction? Thanks
  4. I second this opinion!! The shop does GREAT work and is under dealer cost by about 15-20% on most stuff! 98gs400 I sent you and email!!
  5. HA HA there guy nice try... The 02 SS would kick the Cobra.. Why can I be so sure? They did not make and 02 Cobra that is why. It went (with new body style) 99, 2000 (Cobra R only), 2001, 2003. Next year for Cobras will be 2005
  6. not to bad I think.. I have seen better but I have also seen ALLOT worse.
  7. I think maybe you misunderstood me?? I hope. It already has the nav system in it, I thought it was the dvd one, I guess you set me straight on that one. Thanks. Is there a way to upgrade the existing hard drive in my car? Is ther an upload or something I can do that will not cost me an arm and a leg? Thanks Again
  8. I just got my 98 GS400 and the only thing it needs is the DVD Nav upgrade so that I have all the new streets and stuff. Is there a cheaper way to do that instead of going to the dealership? Can anyone get me the new DVD I need? Thanks
  9. I have been surfing the boards now for a little bit and this is my first post. I am picking up my 98 GS 400 today... Black with 20% tint all around stock all the way threw. Fully loaded except for the hands free option for cell. Only thing I am doing right away (cause they were given to me) is installing 2 12 JB audio speakers stage three along with two amps in a box. Looking to do some engine mods here soon. For others wondering it has just turned over 80k and still runs strong. The guy who owned it manages a Lexus/BMW/Mercedes service center so all work was down there since he bout it with 45k on it awhile back.
