I read about transmission shift flare But i dont quite understand if that is what my car is doing

When the engine is cold and i'm speeding up, i feel a jerk when the car hits 2000-2500 rpm I drove my friend's ES350 and his engine was also cold, but his car did not jerk at 2000-2500 rpm Seems like the car jerks only when accelerating slowly Between 1500-2500 RPM Even after warmed up Taking it to Lexus on Saturday. Charging me $100 for diaognostics But if they find a problem thats covered, they wont charge Do you guys think the problem is powertrain?
